What’s the best result for Scotland tonight in Ireland Ukraine game?
I think an Ireland win. We may have chucked it first time around but we have more chance in beating them next time than we do beating Ukraine twice.

Well, don’t take any ........ just enjoy the chance of an English defeat.
I like this :) like when Hearts loose to the old firm. It may just be the Nations League but England coming bottom of any groups would just be hilarious.

It’s tricky. IF we have aspirations to win the group then Ireland win. But it does keep them in the mix and if it came down to head to head we would likely lose given 3-0 defeat.

However if we think the best is 2nd and think Ukraine are good bet to qualify in euro qualifying (which they probably would be as 2nd tier seeds, then 2nd place opens up nations league play off but not 2nd tier seed for euro qualifiers. On that basis an Ireland defeat would like mean we are favorites to finish 2nd.

Regardless of anything even a Ukraine defeat tonight and we will need to go to Ukraine and get at least a point. That defeat in Ireland damaging.

English pundits/commentators are priceless. A 50/50 jump for the ball, the English player smacks the Austrian player in the face with his elbow and this tosser is asking how it can be a foul ....... you can’t jump without using you arms!
Must have ultra long arms, its Hungary they are playing 🤣

Does that have an impact on qualification for future major tournaments? I don’t really get the NL format.
If we win the group we play in League A in the 2024 tournament and are also in with a chance of qualifying for Euro 2024, in the same way that we qualified for Euro 2020.

I hadn’t considered Ukraine qualifying the normal route and was just thinking about wining the group.

Winning group would also get us into group A where I presume most teams qualify without nations league.

I enjoy an English defeat but in-play odds of 6/4 England are tempting.

How flat are the English commentators on channel 4? They’re not used to getting behind their team when they are on the wrong end of a result.

No more than they deserved. England's B team is awful.Their players are more concerned about how good they look on the ball than actually doing something to affect the game. Hungary are well organised, have a game plan and understand that goals win games.

Oops another dive by Kane.... blatant.

  26. #835
Why are the English commentators not calling Kane out as a cheat there?
