How many full time players will Hibs have next season ?
Going by signings and current players we've announced as signing permanent deals on social media.

Maybe as many as 16 (depending what the deals are, this number includes players like Rosie Livingstone).

Boyle hasn't signed yet, but she said she hasn't had a conversation about it yet. She certainly intends to be because she mentioned on the Behind the Goals pod that with full time training she thinks she could be playing by March.

Rosie is still at school - and fully expect her to go to Uni. I dont think all of the squad will be full time.

Definitely, they might not all be full time of course, but I'd be surprised if all the new signings plus players like Notman, McGregor and Mickey aren't

Rachael Boyle goes into a bit more detail in the podcast:

Makes sense. I'd say, purely on guess work, that there enough for a starting 11 who are full time.

Might be still to come, or I completely missed it and it happened a while ago, but haven't seen Shiv sign a deal yet.

Only mention it because Joelle did and by all accounts she was already on a full time job with the club due to the academy as well

No. Also Joelle's Head of Girls Academy was advertised last week (assuming thats the same role she used to do - she may have another role in the foundation) Only £10k a year for 20hrs a week.......

That was it, quickly googled it, her linkedin had Head of Girls and Academy Director. So Joelle will be a full time player contract then.

So I wonder when Shiv will be signing, can't see her leaving and be odd if she wasn't given a deal.

For some reason I thought she played midfield last season. She’s just been released by Man U along with 8 others I think. In the process of signing with Hibs.
She's a proper coupe then. Well done to hibs for getting her. She's powerful, reads the game well and she'll kick on a develop.

United 21s were good last year and a few will make their first team. They obviously can't all move up so there's going to be some collateral but lawson is a good player.

Welcome to hibs Poppy... you've traded the biggest club in the world, for the best.

Have Cavanagh and Muir got other clubs? Thought they were very good players.
    Ditto.

Just Jimmy did warn us about Cavanagh about a month ago.
Mature, sensible signature required for responsible position. Good prospects for the right candidate. Apply within.

I'm surprised Mutch is leaving. Thought she'd be our no. 2, but maybe wants to be first pick somewhere

Had a feeling Coyle might be going given the number of strikers we've got now.
Don’t think Mutch was overly impressed with how she was treated by the club so absolutely not surprised to see her leave.

There isn’t many top keepers in the SwPL. Expect her to be starting for one of them.

She was fine. I was more surprised at how much game time she got ahead of Gabby tbh

That's the back up in the door anyway

That’s Lawson announced on a 2 year deal. Wonder if Shiv isn’t staying?

That would be a shock. Not sure where else I can see her playing.

I would have thought Lawson was in with an eye to a transition with Joelle (not that she's showing any signs of slowing down really).

Are the ladies going to be at Livi again next year? I live 5mins down the road so may go down for some games if they are

TBC where they will be right now.

Livi was a last minute arrangement as Spartans wanted them out at short notice from Ainslie. For the good of the team, hopefully they say Meadowbank (if it's ready).

EEN said a couple days ago we are planning to be in Meadowbank.

The FEC chairman said last night they want their women's team to be in thre too, does that throw a spanner in the works for us?

Edinburgh City Women havent even been put in the championship. Very surprising. That league they are in is awful.

Going by what their chairman said he's annoyed about that and thinks they should have been. He said he wants the women's team to be on a par with the men's within the club.

Do their games take place at the same time as ours?

    Great news!

I wonder why it took so long to announce? As I think we've known it had/was happening.

Really excited to find out where the new home is, and see the team again!

  29. #538
    That's great news,
The girls game is growing so quickly,it can only benefit Hibs in the long run.

Good about the season tickets. £100 is very reasonable.

Maybe next year they'll do a combined one for both teams.

I hadn’t realised they were a separate entity. What was the reason for that?
