I’m rewatching it for the 3rd time, on série 3. Maybe it’s all the misery that’s going on in the real world but it’s almost too dark for me at the moment.

Pieces of her on netflix started tonight. Karen Slaughter the writer.
Watched the first couple. Average so far with the daughter in particular annoying me by doing some rather odd things. Will probably watch the rest as the story seems OK.

Just finished Season 1 of For All Mankind on Apple….really enjoyed that and liked they way they mixed fiction with reality.

Another Apple offering is Acapulco. Not normally a comedy fan but again really enjoyed this and laughed out loud throughout. The singers in the pool area that make cameo appearances most episodes are genius

I'm going to throw Wolf Like Me into the mix, Australian comedy about 2 people, both widowed, and the baggage they bring to a relationship.

Peaky Blinders is boring me. Episode 2 and im hoping mrs Bollah agrees to give up on it. The Oswald Mosley stuff is just silly.

I liked episode 1 but found last night a lot slower and strange (not one I’d be looking to revisit). I said to my missus that the scene where him and Arthur started paggering folk on the sly at the fascist rally, and then Aida turned up during the scrap and Tommy said “I’ve got business to do” or something was like a computer game with how quickly it happened and the cliche line and just complete bizarreness of it all!… it was good to see Arthur back in action mind you 😁 even though he couldn’t stand-up 2 mins prior due to being doped.

I’m hoping this was just a ‘setup’ episode and things will get back in swing next week.

You can see why this is the last series though.

It was the ‘blackshirt pager’ scene which bothered me too, did they just write that in to show Tommy and Arthur were still close? Seemed random and unnecessary.

Anybody else watching Stanley Tucci's food tour of Italy? Comfort food viewing. Beautifully shot and Stan seems a nice lad.

Only 6 episodes. Let's just say, the woman has issues every month and leave it at that. 😉

Just finished “Pieces of Her” on Netflix, quite enjoyed it, took a couple of episodes to start to figure out what was going on and jumps about a bit between the past and present but worth a watch.

Tell me your secrets on Alibi has been decent so far. Really like Lily Rabe after her American Horror Story performances.

    Finished that now as well.

As suspected after the first two the daughter character annoyed me throughout…acting like she was 12 rather than 30.

Other than that it was OK but by the end was kind of glad it was done and ultimately the story didn’t actually add up to that much.

Not sure I’d ever recommend it to anyone and as above the best I can say is that it was OK.

maybe worth a watch this sunday night C4’s Jeremy Kyle doc lifts lid on ‘cult-like’ work environment | News | Broadcast (broadcastnow.co.uk) Docu about that wee rat Kyle

Channel 4’s Jeremy Kyle: Death on Daytime is stripped across two-parts from Sunday (13 March), documenting the lead up to and impact of the axing of the popular talk show in 2019 following the suicide of participant Steve Dymond.
In the doc, four whistleblowers (portrayed by actors) reveal the pressures put on them by management to secure guests for the ITV daytime show, with one stating that it was common to work up to 15-hour days in order to secure guests for an episode

Didn’t find tonight much better. I’ll watch it to the end but I think it’ll be through blind loyalty as loved the earlier series so much rather than actually really enjoying it.

It just seems to have really lost something, and now finding some of the scenes and dialogue a bit off. It’s as if it’s been done by different people or something!

Also wonder if they’re trying too hard (and failing) to tug on emotions now rather than sticking with the style and action.

Just really not feeling it this season at all.

I reckon this last series is about the demise of them all.

Top Boy series 4 starts tomorrow on Netflix (series 2 if you don't count Summerhouse).

If it's anything like the previous episodes it will be well nang, if you know what I mean blud.

Yeah maybe, and I could live with that if it didn’t seem so sh**. I feel like they could have even killed them all off this series and still made it decent. This season makes the Russian series 3 seem brilliant!

I see it is getting absolutely slated as being misogynistic.

Have to say, I’ve been to see Adam Kay numerous times over the years, read the book and been to see the stage show of This is Going to Hurt a couple of times and it didn’t jump out me as being misogynistic in itself (pointing out the failings of the healthcare system, including instances of misogyny, yes).

I’m not a woman, though. Nor a medical professional, as quite a few doctors, nurses and midwives seem to be finding it “triggering” too.
I think it’s excellent viewing, I’m watching it with someone who read and loved the books and I just can’t see the misogyny argument.
