Think its pretty clear despite the odd goal that he just isnt that good, his first touch is bad, doesnt really have a lot of pace, his heading is terrible, if he was playing for another team in the last 12 months we wouldnt want him at the club
He’s needing dropped hopefully a bruise to the ego will give him a kick up the arse

Seems a bit odd that one

Commenting on the deal, chairman Dave Cormack said: “This is a good outcome for the Club and for Ronnie. We’ve recouped the vast majority of our investment in the player with the potential for future returns through a sizeable sell-on. It’s also good for Ronnie who is now settled in the States with his wife and children.

“As the Club has stated on numerous occasions, there was nothing out of the ordinary in this signing or subsequent loan and transfer.

Agree bit odd how much detail they are going into. On the face of it a terrible signing.

Nisbet has been needing dropped for an entire year but he still plays. Now we have competition I want to see him dropped and told to work his way back into the side. Otherwise we should be looking to cash in and replace this or next window.

Nisbet missed a sitter but was otherwise fine. We're not getting the ball to him in the box enough and he continually has to come deep because our midfield don't support him.

There have been plenty of times the ball has been in the box and he has missed, he just hasnt been good enough

How do you cash in on a player who looks disinterested and is lacking on form?
This is not the same player that teams were offering decent money for.
It disturbs me that under a new manager his face is still tripping him.
I realise there wasn’t much to smile about last night but a bit of positivity wouldn’t go amiss.
I do believe there’s a good player there but he needs to show us what he’s about.

He really wasn't 'otherwise fine'. He didn't assert himself at all, didn't put enough pressure on their defence and was easily shrugged off the ball when playing with his back to goal. It was a frustrating performance to say the very least and, personally, I would have hooked him before half time.

nisbet either simply isn’t good enough or doesnt care. i really hope we can move him on as he is a waste of a wage.

shame as it started quite brightly for him but he has been honking for far too long now.

Yep, the sitter was the least of his worries tbh.

If his place isn’t under serious threat then Maloney’s eyes are painted on.

That was a substandard performance in every department, the type we’ve become used to.

I like our transfer business so far but what we’re going to do with the striker position is my biggest concern going forward and I think it might make or break our season.

Another half season of Nisbet and we’re going nowhere fast imo.

It's an unfortunate situation Nisbet is in, looks unhappy, head probably turned last January and now after all the speculation in 21, no club appears interested. His big money move out is gone and has allegedly rejected a much improved contract from us so, lose lose in all situations. Playing for the the third biggest club in Scotland should be enough motivation for him though.

If Melkersen comes in and manages to hit the ground running you’d hope it might give Nisbet a wake up call

With talk about our window being over and no new signings unless anyone leaves I still think we need 4 players in with probably 8 going out the way. Can't see this happening this window as that would be a huge turn over of playing personnel and the kind of quality we require may not be easy to unearth in January.
I still believe we need a left sided defender (lcb) a centre forward someone central of a front 3 or who can play with 2 behind, a left forward with pace who can take someone on on the outside and that missing CM player .

Not sure what will happen in the last 2 weeks.

How can they support him if every time they play it into him, he loses it? ...and what exactly was it that was fine about his performance?

I do agree to an extent however I think the reaction is more to how we played than the fact we lost.

Nothing unfortunate about it, it’s a situation of his own making. Both him and Porteous had bids in that were rejected and one came back in and has performed to a high standard and may still get a big money move.

The other has grumped, slouched around the pitch, put in crap performances left right and centre and for all his boasting about how amazing his attitude is nowadays when he joined the club is coming across like he has a terrible attitude.

Kamberi with even less talent. I’d be absolutely delighted if we were even to just get a free transfer for him at this point. It’s a situation entirely of his own making.

Nisbet (any other striker puts that away) sitter
Higher possession, I’m intrigued to know the last time hibs went to Glasgow for either of the uglies and won more possession.
Yes we need to be more clinical and get shots away.
It was a shoestring eleven, Campbell was left wing back troops.
    Give the guy a chance
    Again….
Beat Aberdeen who seem to have our number for the past 4 years

    No disgrace

I was actively calling for Ross to go.

Totally, the folk moaning about Maloney not making a difference yet are off their tits IMO.

Looking at the game in isolation last night though and it was pish, played at a testimonial pace for nearly all the second half. The fact we had good possession doesn’t interest me at all as most of it was in our own corner.

I’m excited about what’s to come under Maloney, last night means next to nothing really.

Shankland absolutely worked his socks off for a very defensive Dundee United last season when he was genuinely starved of any kind of service - put in a selfless shift every week. That'll be why he still got his move for good money.

    I don't see any comparison.

Most strikers don't come close to missing one a game. I know that may sound harsh, but how many headers does he have from six yards out that go flying over the bar?

We tried to play out from the back and didn't often go to the long ball. I'm happy to put up with us putting in dull as dishwater performances against the two cheeks for a little bit if it helps us get used to a more exciting brand of football.

I would have to agree it would seem strange for Hibs to play a player who we have agreed a fee on? Obviously I don't know what happens with these types of things just thought we'd try and protect him if we have a possible 3m coming in if what I have seen reported being true.

With all that being said I'm normally miles off the mark 😁😁

SPFL transfer news LIVE! Aberdeen ace Lewis Ferguson being targeted by Serie A side for loan switch

    https://t.co/9kroNNKiLw https://t.co/3xe4GkGp5H

    Fergie of interest
Lewis Ferguson is reportedly a loan target for Cagliari in Serie A.

The Aberdeen midfielder is wanted in England, too, but Sky Sports claim he has been the subject of a loan bid from Cagliari with a view to a £3.5 million obligation to buy.

Watford are also believed to be interested in the player.
