So who’s choosing the players in January now?
Good question wonder if some promising deals may be scuppered if player not coming to the manager they were keen to sign for.

Maybe that’s part of the problem.

Jack Ross insisted on only signing players with boring names where as the owner wants us to cast our net further afield.

I’m only half joking with that. I remember listening to a podcast and Gordon was talking about it being a big footballing world out there and he wanted us to start trying to find hidden gems from untapped markets. I always felt that was at odds with the type of player Ross seemed to want to sign.

Writing was on the wall when Kurowskybob Fertil-Pierre didn't get a contract.

One of the Red Tops reporting that Tony Watt likely to leave Motherwell at the end of the season after talks have broken down. Wonder if Hibs would be interested? Wonder if Watt would even be interested in a love to Hibs.
Obviously things are a bit up in the air regarding signings with no manager in place

I’d take him and Graham Alexander if it was at all possible. Watt is at the top of his game and would not be a pro if he wasn’t motivated to continue that and make the Scotland squad for potential WC qualification.
Alexander, on the other hand, has already shown he can put a footballing side, with some dig in it, on the park but also has passion for the team he’s managing.

No inside knowledge what do ever but would like to see us sign D Unt keeper, (Seigrist) or St J keeper as don't think Macey is good enough. Would also sign Shaunesy (sp?) from St Mirren.

Not a fan of Clark, other two would be good additions though.

Were they not reported to be interested in Porteous in the summer or was that a different club ?

£1m though ? Surely worth more than that

Think it was a Turkish club who were linked in the summer. Aye I would be wanting more than a £1 million.

A quick google came up with interest from both Besiktas and Galatasaray, nothing more than chat though, if Porteous is looking to go then Im sure he will have a few clubs keeping tabs on him, hopefully for more than £1m though

Paddy Lane at Fleetwood may be worth keeping an eye on. 7 assists in 9 games.

Were they not linked with Nisbet during the summer? Along with quotes from our 100% committed lone striker’s agent that it would be a move that would interest him?

I've always liked the look of Charles-Cook at County. Has a bit of pace, likes to take on a man and looks comfortable with both feet

What about Chris Kane of St Johnstone. Not the most prolific but holds the ball up well.

Would love CK at Hibs - industrious, unselfish and pops up with very important goals. Hibs fan too.

We had agreed a deal with him in the summer , only
To not go through with it …would now cost money as he signed a two year deal with Saints

Utter nonsense, have you watched his career at all ? You could not get a more different player, added to which, Chris has more desire in his right toe than that waste of space Vine. CK works defenders, is a pest, scores important goals albeit his strike rate isn't up there with the likes of Nisbet, but he also wins an unbelievable amount of free kicks with his ability to hassle defenders. Also drops deeper to help midfield.

    Try watching him

    Agreed.Impressed what I’ve seen of Charles-Cook.

Don’t know how long his current contract with the Staggies runs for.

Wouldn’t be surprised if Aberdeen and other clubs are interested in him.

I’ve seen plenty of him against us. He’s definitely got nuisance value but we need better than Chris Kane. He’s Joe Average. A decent workhorse type guy. He’s the Curtis Main of St Johnstone.

Will this mean that St Mirren won't be our feeder club now?
