    Next level?

The next level for Norwich is to stay up and Smith literally achieved that in his last job.

Villa are a big club and will have ambitions to be regular 5-8th Euro spots, maybe Norwich board are fed up being a yoyo club and wanted F arke to make them a solid mid table.

The Smith sacking was a weird one and I thought he had enough in the bank to give till after the January window, Obviously the Norwich board feels the he's good enough, got a hard job there though.

It looks Van Bronckhurst will be announced imminently at The Rangers. He has huge shoes to fill; Gerrard was hero worshipped. GVB will need to make a good start.

Here’s hoping he gets off to a disaster on Sunday if appointed

Aye, then he has a European game before Livi and ourselves away in the league. It's a tough start and would be lovely if it all falls apart.

A new range of orange merchandise can be only days away. Just a tribute to Van Bronckhorst of course. Games at Ibrox already resemble a Dundee United match.

Couldn't really care less about Thomson these days. He seems to have distanced himself from all things Hibs since he left.
He supports both teams, apparently. Not sure thats possible really.

Subject to a work permit, so presume he won’t be in the dugout on Sunday

His last game was against us at Ibrox before our Scottish cup final the next week. We got pumped and some dirty ******* spat in my face outside the ground.

Interesting appointment though not convinced it's as big a coup as they are making out.

I reckon it is given his previous experiences in management after a fantastic career. Seems a nice guy too, sadly.

Depends if he has to sell 1st, and how much he gets to reinvest

He will be on a much tighter budget than Gerrard was. They are losing money hand over fist.

That will quickly change , the second part I mean. Won’t be long until the role consumes him and he plays victim

Did SG not say they haven’t spend money on transfers, last few windows

World class player. Hope he's an abject failure of a manager at them.

I think he spent over £30 million in his three years. Wasn't Ryan Kent about £7 million? GVB won't be given that kind of money.

Aye, Statement FC will soon be telling the world it isn't fair they aren't allowed to win. Hopefully we see a statement on Sunday

I think KT supports the team which best suits his own agenda.

Fantastic career but isn't really too impressive a managerial CV is it? I guess winning the league with Feyenoord was impressive. But other than that a year in China and now the huns.

If at any time you support The Rangers you have never been a Hibs supporter imo

It’ll be interesting to see how this appointment affects the game on Sunday. They might get the new manager bounce or, equally, the players might still be reeling from Gerrard walking out on them. I hope we take the game to them and exploit any after effects of their recent unexpected crisis.

Correct and if you take their cash then it's questionable also.

That's going to be a long crawl back to Kelty over all that broken glass for KT, eh?

Winning the league with Feyenoord for the first time in almost 20 years with a couple of other trophies is a great achievement tbh.

He’s employed by the huns and scunnered he didn’t get a chance coaching here.

He’s not employed by the Huns. He severed all connections with them when he took the Kelly job.

Other than Rangers TV for some home games
Good to see he’s still got his Academy going, though wonder if he still has the time to do it
