I think USA could dominate the Ryder cup for quite a while. Outside of Rahm and Hovland there is no other Europeans capable of dominating in the game right now. Detry might given time and possibly Weisberger but I’m not sure who the next really good batch are.

I would agree. You can kind of divide European golf up into two sections - continental Europe which should be a growth area but isn't for whatever reason, and GB and Ireland, where the sport seems to be in decline, particularly in Britain.

I think having pretty much all the tournament golf locked away behind a paywall on Sky is doing huge damage to the game in the UK. It just adds another barrier to entry for young players alongside the difficulty of the game to master and the financial cost as well compared to other sports.
