I'm biased obviously but this is worth listening to for Matty's description of the destruction of the death star alone 🤣
Matty’s very accurate and exciting description….

I would like to raise a point about this. Where in all the Star Wars galaxy do TIE fighters go 'bi bi bing'. Shirley they go 'pew p-p-pew p-pew' and that is forgetting the targeting bleeps before the actual shot (I think a electronic ring tone for a phone was used for these noises), in the trench run you also hear the mechanical movement of the guns on the TIE fighters which is a sort of chuttering noise. Ben Burtt the sound designer on the original Star Wars was a bit of a genius!

PS No I have not watched the original Star Wars 179 times and no I don't know the script and soundtrack backwards and forwards, that must be some other geek you're thinking of.

Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.

You’re spot on about the sound, to be fair.

Apart from that it was quite an excellent description of a classic scene

    Ta.

We might make “Matty describes movies” a regular feature.
