Looks like Kane is going off injured

    Edit-he's staying on

Kane injured himself doing his usual dangerous play technique of backing into the defenders.

I think Havertz has looked very good and Toni Kroos just takes the ball in any situation

    A German Luka Modric

If England didn’t continually employ such cautious managers they’d likely have performed way better in tournaments over the years. They have so many good players at their disposal yet they always seem to underperform. Beginning to think it’s the managers who can’t get out from under the shadow of 1966.

Kroos is a superb football player.

It’s funny when people debate Ronaldo and Messi and suggest Messi has only looked as good as he does because he had Xavi and Iniesta behind him. Kronos and Modric are both incredible.

I like Havertz’s style of play. He’s not blessed with pace but has so much skill and a good football brain who can only get better.

You have to fancy england from here with the changes they can make

They just always seem to play a bit within themselves

In saying that have England had a shot this half?

English centre defence and keeper deserve credit, still not conceded and look very solid today. I thought that was their weakness pre tourney.

What has Sancho got to do to get a chance? He's there most inform attacker imo.

I feel their weaknesses are twofold: overly timid approach to formation and tactics and the lack of a commanding midfielder. Not everyone has a Pirlo but England look incomplete without one.

  22. #2391
If either of these sides win this tournament I'll be stunned.

Despite all the talk of their dodgy keeper and CBs pre tournament England look quite solid defensively but they really struggle to get their attacking players involved. I suppose that's always the trade off when you go with 2 defensive minded CMs.

All this creaming themselves over Grealish is purely because he plays in the EPL. He’s not as good a player as sancho but the English football crowd instantly presume everyone that plays in England is the better player.

    Worth it for yesterday’s football

This is boring I'm away to watch the tennis. Give me a nudge when the inevitable penalties begin.

Very tense now. Such a big game for both nations and maybe it will be settled on pens 😀
