    Any update on Jackson Irvine?

A mate of mine messaged to say he heard he had signed a 2 year deal and will be announced on Friday in the new away kit…..

Can’t find any other rumours of this so not sure the info is accurate?
Despite it being mentioned every summer I don't think a new contract or a new player has ever been announced alongside
    a new kit.

Yep, I don't recall it ever happening and bundling two positive announcements together doesn't make such sense from a pr point of view either.

I have a memory of when McPake signed after his loan spell that was done with him modelling the new home kit, but could easy be misremembering

Is that actually a word? It's not the same as forgetting or mistaken. If you misremember, you must have remembered something, but not the right thing. I will be using it for sure next time the missus comes home and I haven't done the expected chores. "Ah, sorry. I misremembered."

An even better word is "conflated" where you mix up and combine two different peices of information. You might have seen the launch of a new kit and then a week later seen Jame McPake announced wearing the new strip. a year or two later, you remember it as one event - James McPake being announced at the same time as the new kit. You conflated the two events. I don't know how that helps you with not doing the dishes

Reading between the lines here it’s pretty obvious they’re using the home and away link to announce Jackson Irvine with the new away strip.

Is that because Irvine is pretty grey?

Oft, neither me nor my mate can be considered wee laddies.... and for most its a bit early to be on the slash :)

Interesting that some form of away kit tease has been issued by hibs on the same day as i've heard this though.....

McPake (permanent signing) and de Graaf were announced with new strips. Neither went that well of course….

I seen that on Twitter last night. Boy said he’d bought a house next door and like you say 2 year deal announced Friday with purple and green away strip.
Well Jackson looks lovely dressed up as Scott Allan in our ne green and white away strip 👌🏻

"remember imperfectly or incorrectly" and now I have seen this definition I must misremember 99% of my life cause it's never perfect

It certainly looks that way now, the original tweet said a green and purple away kit, so we can deduce that the other part of the tweet was BS too.

Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.

I personally couldn’t care less as he’s clearly not interested in Hibs. He might deem us worthy when he’s 37 or something.
Lennon slating Griffiths today, didn’t turn up to training during lockdown for 3 months, came back a stone overweight and out of condition, lost his pace, etc etc.

Think might change my mind about wanting him back at Hibs.

The new guy will certainly be taking a bit of a gamble with Griffiths. Given the fans’ resistance to keeping Griffiths on, if he flops, the manager will lose a lot of support from the fans, which, it appears, is not particularly sky high.

The most shocking thing about that article is a "journalist" using "would of".

How we going to keep Kevin Nisbet down at ER now that he’s mixed with the loads of money rich kids from the English Premiership.

This is the info that Aberdeen had on him hence no interest. Also heard it's worse than what's been mentioned. He's apparently walked out in the middle of sessions and his diet is so bad it gives little chance of ever getting match fit.

That was nice of Lennon sharing that.

Did he say anything about why he couldn’t motivate their best striker to come in and perform to the best of his abilities or why Griffiths felt it easier to stay away?

Anything about his mental state that lead to him being so out of condition and apparently uninterested?

Always 3 sides to every story, poor of Lennon to come out in public with that kind of thing IMO.

I agree. Even though he may be telling the truth he shouldn't be "talking out of school" - I'm sure plenty people could dish the dirt on NL.

I also wondered why Lennon didn't manage it better. Did he call or go to see Griffiths.

The Hibs players all say that Jack Ross talks to them individually all the time - doesn't look like Lennon does the same.

Lennon comes across as a bitter man, trying to scupper the possibility of a new contract for Leigh at a time when he's discussing his future with a new manager. Even if the new boss decides to give Leigh a go plenty of the support will have decided on the back of Lennon's comments that he's this season's boo boy.

That might be true but very poor from Lennon to slate the guy publicly like that. What does he gain from saying it? Make himself feel better for the honking job he did at Celtic? Stay classy Neil.

Behave with this. Edouard is their best striker by a long way. There is a reason Leicester and Arsenal want him, while Leigh is desperately trying to get a new deal with Celtic.

Tbh I forgot about Edouard 😂

I was thinking about the boy Ajeti and couldn’t think of anybody better (forgetting about Edouard)

    General point still stands though.

Definitely. The man tries his best to deflect criticism from himself every time. Celtic still had the squad with or without Leigh that was capable of winning the league.
