Does anyone know if there will be a development/reserve league next season, or will all the young lads be sent out on loan
    Pluses and minuses on both
If they go out on loan, playing competitive football, but you can’t play them, and training will be patchy, as they will be training with 2 teams
A development league means they can train all week with the 1st team, but maybe the level of football won’t be so good

Fraser lost a year of football with a long term groin injury, when Lennon wanted to play him.
Unfortunately Hecky then came in and didn’t play many, or any of the young lads
We’ve got a promising under 18 group, so it makes sense for the likes of Fraser etc to move on, gives the younger ones an opportunity
Yeah, disturbed momentum and timing conspired against him.
Good that you have hope for the current U18s.

Why not ask the Highland League if they’d allow our colts to join for a seasons pilot. Maybe Hearts might do this too, bung them a few grand and get the lads playing men

I think Ryan Shanley has already agreed a loan with Edinburgh City, I wonder if this is an indication of going down that route again?

Think Ryan is a bit older than the younger crop, and needs to be playing every week. This will suit both clubs and Ryan

Had a look on the SPFL site on transfers so far
Our partnership club Stenhousemuir have signed 13 players. Also think Killie have signed the wrong McGinn😀

Alan Power is apparently leaving Kilmarnock for St Mirren on a one year contract.
At 33 his power is on the wane but has had 4 effective seasons at Kilmarnock.
Strange that his career before that was all at English Conference level.

Liverpool interest in McGinn. Would be good for a couple of clubs to start bidding. Not sure he'll want to leave Villa mind you.

if he's got the chance of Liverpool or another really top club he'll be gone as soon as Villa say deal. that's not to say he'll be disrespectful but he's not daft and the chance may only come round once.

He’d do a great job for them.

He wasn't disrespectful to St Mirren or us so your right he's not going to be disrespectful now, that's not in his nature .

Wijnaldum has gone, he'd be a good replacement for him, also Henderson is struggling with injuries nowadays.

Imagine Grealish will be looking to leave this summer. Would be surprised if Villa let both go however maybe they have replacements lined up.

You'd imagine Buendia is possibly a Grealish replacement

Plays on the opposite side. They'd need to sign someone if Grealish leaves.

James Pearce saying Liverpool aren't after a midfielder. Mentions 3 midfielders that they've looked at previously, McGinn isn't one of them.

They’ve bid for that Smith-Rowe from Arsenal I think.

Not saying McGinn necessarily but if they aren't after another midfielder then they should be

Zero chance they get him. New Arsenal deal to be annouced soon. A waste of time for Villa to bid for him I think.

Central midfield wasn't their issue. Thiago, Henderson and Fabinho is still a very good midfield. Wijnaldum is a big miss, though. I do agree they should be after a player, but having Fabinho back in there and Van Dijk fit will be a much bigger difference than getting McGinn would.

Clearly defensive injuries killed Liverpool. As for McGinn I think he would fit in great at Man United

McGinn is 4/5 years younger than Thiago & Henderson & there must also be question marks over long term injury impact. Makes perfect sense to me, 1st bid of £100m should do it!

RIGHT! I’m fed up now. When are we going to hear some positive transfer news from Hibs?
Pre-season just a week away and our European adventure only weeks beyond that, c’mon Hibs, let’s be having some happy news 🤨

And apart from the Arsenal game, they haven’t even told the fans what pre season games we have
Come on Hibs, could do with better communication on these games
