Older people from the north of England being interviewed on the news, giving it the “they tried their best”, “it’s easy to act in hindsight” and “we’re the best country at vaccinating people”.

We’re absolutely doomed and these fuds are complicit in what this government are doing.
Did they mention that our death toll per 100,000 has always been very high only because we are an island?

    Very popular around here.

Why should they think any different when they’re being told that nobody could realistically have done any better?
Weird narrative being developed that there wasnt a plan when there was a plan.

But it was the wrong kind of pandemic and the plan was useless.

Could it be there was a plan (there definitely was) but Johnson, Cummings ect thought that it would be unpopular with the public (Johnsons main focus is to remain popular) and so went of on a tangent with a scattergun approach.

So the weird narrative that is now being put forward is to cover up yet another, possibly the most serious failure of the lot. That is not following the plan that was already there.

I certainly didn't have the feeling that there was a UK plan being implemented. Instead I witnessed the UK half-heartedly copying other measures taken by other countries but much later. The exception was the procurement of vaccines.

There most definitely was a Pandemic Plan that they abandoned and decided to make it up as they went. The excuse was that it was only for flu.
I always imagined the basics would be the same and could be adjusted for a different disease. Looks like Singapore maybe managed to work that out.

Looking at that wiki link it was for flu, a fictional "Swan Flu", hence Cygnus, which was far more virulent and deadly than CV19. So their plan was for something worse, but ignored nonetheless.

That kind of hits home the personal tragedies all over the country that are in many ways being completely ignored imo deliberately by the media. It soon became all about numbers with little or no thought given to the dead or grieving friends and families that the complete incompetence and corruption caused in the last year of so. The same charlatan is then able to make crass comments about piles of bodies being preferable to another lockdown. Seems he is untouchable as imo a Labour pm doing similar would have been forced from office. This country is such a very dangerous and corrupt ****show at the moment.

Wow that is powerful, a difficult listen. The truly sad thing though is some of the comments. I'm so glad I'm no longer part of this **** show of a country.

So in the weekend after Cummings absolutely rubbished the apparent complete shambles of the uk government Covid response Marr has a nice cosy wee chat with the Vaccines minister. He is absolutely unwatchable at the moment and obviously looking for some sort of gong in the near future. The contrast between how some politicians are treated is absolutely despicable imo.

I think it might be new BBC policy rather than Marr. It's simply unpatriotic to give her Majesty's Government a hard time.

Think you are right. Their Director General is a Tory.

Nadine Dorries is now off Twitter, but not before posting “Dominic Cummings isn’t as clever as he doesn’t think he is”.
