How do you feel about the quite scandalous obesity problem we have in this country in both children and adults, tell me how that squares with having food banks.

Is this what you remember? Doesn't seem like a gimmick to me.

I hate folk who don't answer simple questions but instead ask an unrelated question. Are you Douglas Ross or Annie Wells by any chance? 😉

That is Tory levels of deflection. Your new pals in the party will be chuffed to bits with you. You have gone from moaning about giving poor countries aid to basically saying there is no poverty problems in this country cos some folk are fat. Bravo

Are you suggesting we carve up the plumper populace and feed it to the hungry?

Scotland has a massive obesity problem and it is mainly the poorer in society, there is absolutely no deflection there at all. And I wasn't moaning about anything, I was stating an opinion, something the far left want to remove from anyone with a differing opinion to theirs.

One positive about this Tory government is that they've helped me understand a phenomenon that has evaded my comprehension, how fascists managed to gain compliance from the population in 1930's Europe.

Oh look! Are they all getting faux military uniforms? They should get Hugo Boss in to design them.

it looks all so American huh, pity that £2.5m was also thrown away on the White House style press conference room, it just looks odd seeing the Blonde Bombshell without his famous Hi-Vis jacket on

Poor, poor Mark François. His time has come, but he's been such a naughty Tory that he's missing out.

i'm starting to quite like Bercow nowadays Hoyle couldnae lace his boots

John Bercow: It's time to rage against the liar on the right | The New European

Former Commons speaker John Bercow on his anger at the government’s warped priorities and the Voter ID plan which proposes "a solution to a problem that does not exist"
What’s in the Queen’s Speech, and what’s left out of it, tells us everything about the warped priorities and sheer unpleasantness of this government. I am enraged about it and anyone who cares about human wellbeing and the health of our democracy should likewise be enraged.

It is delusional to suppose that we can compete with the Far East by slashing pay and conditions, rather than by sound investment, modern infrastructure and quality products. A sweatshop economy is commercially counter-productive and sure to spawn worse employee health, physical and mental alike.

    A point of trivia here.

The White House press conference room was redesigned, electronics and all that guff, after the Americans visited St Andrews House and were so impressed by the stuff where NS does her briefings they copied it.

Caught it on iPlayer. She didn't say positatitive, she said positivitive. Marr looked like he was thinking 'There's no point me asking this person difficult questions, she's too dense to understand them, I'll just lob her softballs'.

BBC can’t do anything else now. It’s massively on the back foot and heavily under attack. It will now become a propaganda tool for the Conservative party.
