You’re forgetting that we’ve played a few games against Heart of Midlothian in that time, so Arsenal the second biggest.

Let’s face it if Boyle , Nisbet , Irvine etc don’t show up on Saturday and we lose half this forum worrying about their futures will want them to leave anyway!!! Haha

I just want the focus to be solely on all the above and others linked with moves to go win a 2nd Scottish cup in 5 years.

If they do that then whatever will be will be, I will be a happy man and if they want to move on and get the club more ££ then so be it. Let’s just bring the cup home

I don't get all these "underwhelming" and "meh" comments.
If Hibs fans are saying that then what are the Gunners fans saying?!
The "underwhelming" comment was in response to Hibs tweeting about an announcement being made as if something important was being announced and then it turns out to be a pre season friendly. Well correct me if I'm wrong, but we have pre season friendlies every pre season, don't we? Why the breathless trailers on Twitter for that?

Playing Arsenal at ER is a big deal. I'd love to see that game but as it's a Tuesday, I won't come up for it so I'll have to hope it's on Hibs TV.

I wouldn't be getting angry or anything about it, but I also don't know how people think a pre season friendly is exciting. Yes friendlies are needed for players to get up to fitness, but the results mean absolutely nothing. It's paying money to watch a training session really. Win 2-0, lose 2-0, means not a thing.

We are awfully short of numbers for Saturday with all these players leaving, how will we cope?
I believe Scot Allen is available as his loan at ICT has ended.

Loving the ignorance of the Arsenal ‘fans’ on their Twitter announcement about the friendly against us - I say fans, overseas clueless donuts would be a more accurate description and the closest they’ve ever been to the emirates is watching it on tele from a distance of 5000 miles

Is it just me who doesn't give a **** who will be here next season? We have a cup final to win, then we can start worrying about the squad.

bigger fish to fry. We've got the whole summer to think about the squad.

    Probably just you.

    Edit: And Jones and Bingo.

And just about everyone bar me!

    That’s exactly where I am.

I don’t think this speculation will have any impact whatsoever on the match. After this weekend I’m not really arsed.

All the players linked with moves have done really well but I back the club to replace them well.

Players leaving don’t bother me now, just part of the process now.

Exactly how I feel. Europe and next seasons squad can wait until after Saturday

Win on Saturday, see what European place we actually end up with and can then worry about who's coming or going

I think if moves were going to happen, Hibs are not daft and will already have wheels in motion regarding replacements being spoken to. Let's get Saturday done 1st then we worry about the summer departures.

I dunno if this is a windup at this point but Scott Allan cannot play for hibs again this season.

There won’t be many teams that Arsenal face around Europe next season.

People who follow premier league clubs (this is a very sweeping statement and doesn't particularly apply to English football fans) have a really poor knowledge of anything away from the premier league IMO.

    Nope.

May - look forward to cup final month.

Every July I pish my bed because we've still not sorted the midfield.

We don't need to put the cart before the horse, we'll get there.

I don't want Martin to leave, he is just one of those players that you'd love to see staying and finishing his career at ER. Seems to get Hibs and is a very good, exciting player. Sadly modern football very seldom sees players stay for years, Lewis and Paul are exceptions. But if he does go I am sure that we will have a suitable replacement already on the radar. Anyway he's still here and hopefully will have another winners medal in his pocket come Saturday evening

Arsenal are very attractive opposition for a friendly - don’t understand the negativity being expressed.
Agree not sure it could get much more exciting for us.
