Sad to see club legend Sir David Gray looking understandably miles off the pace

Hopefully he will get his silver lining on Saturday when he goes up to lift the cup for a second time with Paul Hanlon

    Fingers crossed

Nine subs allowed for the final so I don't think any outfield player listed today will miss out.

Macey, Marciano, Gray, McGinn, Stevenson, Porteous, McGregor, Hanlon, Doig, Newell, Gogic, Jackson, Hallberg, Magennis, Wright, Boyle, Murphy, Nisbet, Doidge.

That's 19, so still space for one.
Nine subs? I looked hard but all I could find was the rules from last year which stated 7. That's good then - one less decision for Jack to agonise over.

In the semi final Dundee Utd had 9 on the bench and Hibs 8

Thanks for the match reports JB, I look forward to reading them after each game, but and this is a first I thought Maginnes was anonymous in the game. But I did have a bad stream , very stop start for the game
Looking forward to the cup final reort

Sad? I was delighted to see him put in the performance he did with some excellent challenges. I only felt sad when he tore on the overlap like he was in his prime, only for Magennis to just hold onto the ball and slow things down.

Thanks John, all your reports are greatly appreciated. I've not been Rocky's biggest fan but he oozed confidence yesterday and at times I thought we had signed Ederson, as his much criticised distribution was excellent.
Darren was without doubt MOTM but I suspect Ryan will get the nod for the final. Darren's at his best in a game like yesterday where it's all about clearing the ball, anywhere. We should have much more of the ball next week and I think Ryan is better in that situation than Daz. Of course we could always copy 2016 & start with a back 3/5.
    Thanks again!!
I might come across as King Cynic of the Cynic people, brog but Marcianos performance yesterday had
“Shop Window” written all over it.

Only knows one way to play

100% totally committed putting his body on the line for the cause match fit or no match fit but had his work cut out against Elyounoussi

Yes Magennis shudda played him in

It did cross my cynical mind also but I strongly suspect Rocky's future is already settled.

It actually had "busy first half for a change" written all over it as far as I could see.

I would just like to add my thanks to you JB for all your match reports, which are first class. I appreciate very much all the hard work which must go into writing them.

Sorry if already mentioned but don't think we've lost at home to Celtic in the league since 2013
