The point of the scheme was to provide convenience for those of us that go away every fortnight not for priority. In particular it was set up for bus convenors and other groups to allow them to sort their buses with confidence that they’ll have people on them and groups are seated together.
This is the first I’ve read about it being setup for bus convenors etc

AST holders have to be home season ticket holders. Whats your point?
    Exactly that.

The ASTs can have the same chance of a final ticket as every other Hibs season ticket holder, because we've all been in the same boat this season of having paid for a season ticket and not attended any games.

Hibs supporters who work in the NHS would seem the obvious choice this season. Bound to be at least 300 surely.

Na, disagree with that. It was created when the loyalty scheme was disbanded to ensure the small number of people who go to every game were guaranteed a ticket when the high demand fixtures come round. Your guaranteed a ticket when others aren’t. To me, that’s offering an additional level of priority.

I know a boy who does maintenance for NHS, sits in a van doing very little day after day. Not sure I can ever agree that someone like that deserves to jump the queue...

We don't have the whole stadium so the point is moot

Be interested to know what we do have though

I'm guessing someone smarter than me could work that out on say 1500 at 1.5m distance as that's what the SFA were going for

Its probaly a section of one of the stands

Sent from my VOG-L29 using Tapatalk
Why haven't they applied for more sections? There are going to be 12000 fans in the stadium just in a few weeks after the final.

Even 1000 fans each could be easily accommodated.

I think most of the stadium isn't ready for use due to Euro prep

The people who already went to all the away games were guaranteed tickets under the loyalty scheme. The away season ticket has made no difference. I got a ticket for all away games under the loyalty scheme I get a ticket for all away games under the AST. It rewards people who go home and away by ensuring we get tickets for high demand games

I think rightly or wrongly that Hibs will just hold a ballot for all current season ticket holders.

Live on Hibs TV , the draw being done by Irvine Welsh and her from Brookside and David Tanner shouting "client reference number 7062, Jimmy Smith come on down"

I think the last few pages shows that regardless of what is decided some people are going to be upset.

I certainly wouldn't like to be the person tasked with making the decision.

Like myself yes, I understand, but there just seems a synchronicity with our strip sponsor this year that makes sense.

NHS workers should have ticket priority over other key workers over this pandemic. Give the NHS supporting Hibees a big thank you from us all.

I struggle to comment on this thread as I am so annoyed. I hold the SFA and SNP in very low regard so anything I say will be tainted but how can anybody think that allowing 300 Hibs fans into a 50,000 seater stadium is reasonable or proportionate. You could treat 600 people suffering from Ebola in an extreme social distancing setting and still get more in. Jason Leitch should be using Warburtons hat. Why are we discussing how the tickets might be distributed? We should be asking where is the science to justify this numbers. There were more people indoors at the Crucible than is proposed in Hampden. I guarantee if Govan’S finest were playing they would have got almost 1700 as a starting point.........RANT OVER

Hampden is now under control of UEFA and only one side (South Stand I think) is available for use.

The other three stands are still under preparation for covid control.

Hence Hampden at a guess only has 10,000 seats available not the usual capacity of 50,000.

The SFA applied for 2,000 tickets (maybe 3,000) and as we now know received 600.

Stevie, there is no system that keeps everyone happy, the loyalty scheme was despised because of the HSL debacle, I thought it was a great system. The AST is now seen as elitist and a level of priority above “normal” season ticket holders and to be honest it probably is. We only get a semblance of priority for big games or games with limited capacity. I never hear anybody complaining about getting tickets for Ross County away on a Wednesday night a couple of weeks before Christmas. If i am lucky enough to get a ticket I will be delighted and I am sure our club will get slated regardless of what they do. Anyway all that matters is that we win this cup on 22/5/2021. Let’s get behind the team and good luck to the lucky people who get a ticket

Agree B, but this ensures those that go to every game, don't miss out for Ibrox or the Piggery. I don't get why LP was scrapped, but this works for me. We know the faces who are at all the games.

Why should those that go everywhere to follow, not be catered for, never understand folk saying it's our choice to go every week.

I'm not even sure I'd want the ticket if I got one. Sitting in a vast empty space, no mates, mask on. Nah, I'd rather have some beers and company.

But Porto stadium also used for euros will have 12,000 the week after for champions league, Wembley would have too. They can pause changing the signs for 1 day

That would be uefas call though I guess?

I'm not sure why the whole stadium can't be available - maybe there's more happening at hampden than in Lisbon?

It would be quite interesting to know the detail

Yeap, they are on a hiding to nothing. Covid changed everything, nobody could have foreseen a situation where thousands of season ticket holders who would have been guaranteed the chance of a cup final to be faced with only a few hundred tickets.
No matter how it’s resolved I’ll be chuffed to bits for the lucky few but I’ll be having a brilliant day in the pub with loads of Hibees anyway.

In general I agree with AST being given priority for in demand games. We’re in unprecedented times though and no one has been at a game this season. I’d maybe go for tranches along the lines of a ballot for AST’s for 50 tickets. A ballot of 225 for all season ticket holders (including AST’s) and a ballot of 25 for everyone on the database as not everyone was lucky enough to be in a position to buy a season ticket.
