I'm delighted for the boy don't get me wrong, I'd love to see big Daz's stats in the few games he's played for us. To me stats mean diddly squat. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Daz hasn’t been better than Hanlon this season.

I’d have Daz and Hanlon at CB in a heartbeat.

As to whether he's been better than Hanlon or Porteous not in my opinion, but everyone is entitled to their opinion.
My reasoning would be the number of games played by each of the three players tells its own story.

Successful football teams these days use a large chunk of stats and "intuition" to pick players.
Stats meaning "diddly squat" in top level sport is just not true.

On the head to head Hanlon wins on every stat listed.
NB - agree that stats don't tell the full story. I would give Boyle my personal player of the season so far - squeezing home in front of Newell and Hanlon in that order - but he only comes in 10th according to their analysis.
