This union jackery, telling people what to think, how to behave, who should get jobs based on their beliefs, telling them to leave etc. is like turning the clock back approximately 90 years.

One of the most obnoxious self servers down here but I didn't have her down as pro independence for Scotland.

Wonder if Bozo will be happy with the criteria for a referendum and independence being set at not liking the flag?

Didn't Bozo build a bridge somewhere?

He certainly spent tens of millions on consultants to talk about it.

Report suggests Government 'poised' to take over the running of Liverpool - Liverpool Echo

The Government is reportedly ready to take over the running of Liverpool, following allegations of corruption.
According to a report in the Telegraph tonight the Government is going to intervene in running the city of Liverpool, in an unprecedented move.

Corruption the Tories will be absolutely furious they're not in on it

Easy to see where this is going, they'll put forward the same argument to intervene up here if the SNP win the election.

Aren't they also changing the London mayoral election to first past the post to ensure they have control there.
Andy Burnham should be watching this closely as he'll be next.

this is on of the most frightening things about staying in the Union.

I have always wanted out but genuinely believe this lurch to the right under an insular, narrow minded Conservative Government is now one of the main reasons why many voters want to leave the UK behind.

Read that one, they're not doing corruption properly in Livepool so Bozo is going to make Hancock's pub landlord the lord mayor of liverpool and Harding will become high commissioner to get it on track.

Sounds like scousers have been handing out brown envelopes and secret contracts to the wrong type of people.

The headlines are brilliant, sky news ‘Government to take over Liverpool’. The state of the nation just has an infinite capacity to surprise. How far into madness is it possible to go? Maybe he’ll do a Putin in Crimea and just annexe it. You could get handed a special passport and bushy moustache growing instructions at the border. And the ***** are still popular?! (Tories, not scousers).

Personally I doubt they could run the Isle of wight without someone getting caught with their fingers in the till.

Bozo and his pals are always just one gaffe away from ending up as figures of ridicule like Trump rather than real gangsters like Putin.

i'm not quite sure which category this goes under but seeing as it's tories trying to stop protests....how stupid is this

Bristol protest: Police attacked as 'Kill the Bill' demo turns violent - BBC News

Protesters have attacked police after thousands of people turned up to a demonstration officers had "strongly advised" against attending.

Officers suffered broken bones and police vans were set alight as angry scenes unfolded in Bristol city centre.

Crowds had gathered for the Kill the Bill demonstration in opposition to the Police and Crime Bill.

just the ammo Frau Patel needs........maybe she planned it ;)

Just you wait until she finds whatever we've spent billions on 2500 consultants tracking.

Bound to eventually get something right, mind you that's what they said about Grayling, Williamson etc, etc....

I think this is probably the best article I've ever read on the phenomenon that is Boris Johnson as PM:

    https://www.theguardian.com/news/202...aying-the-fool

    Read it and weep.
I finally got round to reading that, quite brilliant.

This came up a while back, him and a couple of his business partners put up some homeless people as well. Neville is a decent human being with a social conscience.

The other one is Richard Branson. Also reverting to type.

I like the idea that the taxpayer is supposed to accept Branson’s Caribbean island as collateral for a write off An island that can’t get insurance because it’s at risk of hurricanes...

I must remember to try that with HMRC....

The mud throwing continues. Before the results it was mud based on innuendo now it's based on twisting the results of both investigations to suit.

BBC still saying that James Hamilton is her "private advisor."
