The first time I ever attended Parkhead, in 1982, there were only three games to go until the end of the season and Celtc and Aberdeen were in a tight struggle to win the league... but there was only 16k at the game.

I was in the The Rangers end for the game that Lewis scored that belter. Courtesy of complementary tickets. We were right behind the director's box. Fortunately their fans were revolting at the time and left after 20 minutes or so in protest at the board.
Couldn't help but jump up when the second goal went in. Lucky man.

A per usual, I was on the Artisan bus to the game at Tannadice and when we got back, everybody was desperate to find out if any of their mates were on the bus that crashed and if they were OK.
I was just a kid and didn't know anybody else that had travelled up but there were quite a few adults from our bus in a bit of a panic.

The game at Tannadice obviously sticks in the minds of a lot of us.
I was in the Arabs' end, with a couple of mates... could've sworn that Sturrock scored for them. TBF, I was buried in an orange mist for a wee while.

I was at the ‘71 cup game at Tynecastle but can’t remember a “Duncan” at left back? Pretty sure it wasn’t Bobby Duncan who was a right back in any case. Can anyone help?

If you click on the link you can see that John Brownlie is #2 and Bobby Duncan is #3
I agree that Bobby Duncan was a right back but he appears to take up the left back position at the Hearts free kick and makes himself available for Stanton’s pass before feeding Arthur from the left back side of the pitch
The Manager was Dave Ewing who was a Coach at Man City and had some unorthodox ideas
Bobby Duncan came in for Mervyn Jones who seemed to drop out of the picture for a few weeks before being reintroducedLast edited by BILLYHIBS; 13-02-2021 at 06:39 PM.

Went to first game of the semi in 72 on the football special train did not get into the ground until the 60th minute of the game. Some folk in these days would trash the trains so we did not move anywhere for more than an hour whilst the police boarded the train to make arrests. Happened quite often back then
