As an LAFC member (season ticket holder), and their approach to fan engagement is second to none. When the stadium was being designed, they had virtual mock-ups for fans to come and look at, and made changes to the design based on the fans input. Prior to COVID, they held fan sessions at the stadium where they covered every level of interaction and how to make it better. From discussing how people got to the stadium and how they could improve that experience, to catering and merchandise.
During COVID, all of the MLS teams have had ritual watch parties over zoom, and those zoom calls are then either show. Inside the stadium or digitally added in the broadcast so that viewers can still see fan reactions.
The football on the park hasn’t been too bad either, but the behind the scenes engagement has been excellent.
From what I’ve read on here and the club website, there’s definitely similar things that had been going on at Hibs to try and get the fans in to discuss with the club. Might be some cultural differences that determine the level of engagement perhaps, but it’s certainly worked here.
