Good news - it's the last ever series
Bad news - it's on for an hour

OAE went from being unmissable because it was good to unmissable because it's so bad. It never really recovered from losing Gordon Kennedy, Tony Roper, Alistair McGowan and Greg Hemphill. Watson just isn't good enough to write and carry the show himself. The fact they barely mentioned Hearts during the Roamanov era (which could have been a spin off on it's own) exemplifies the way it headed.
The thread on here slagging it is always good value though. I'll be watching as always.PM Awards General Poster of The Year 2015, 2016, 2017. Probably robbed in other years

It's not just the cringeworthy sketches, the lack of imagination, dated characters and west coast obsession, Watson's impersonations are absolutely awful. They must get positive feedback from somewhere otherwise it would have been binned a long time ago. My wife forces me to watch it even though she thinks it's awful as well.
I've got a feeling this could be the worst ever...a whole hour!!

Even at it's height it was only funny half the time, like most sketch shows I suppose.
He should do an hour of just Frankie Boy and Dennis Law. These were his best impressions for me.
