I've almost got to the end of s1 of Prodigal Son and have just found out the guy that plays the lead role also played the part of Jesus in The Walking Dead, never even crossed my mind! 😃

I thought it was decent to start with but it's very post MTV generation and the viewer is bombarded with hundreds of different scenes within a very short period of time. It's more like Star Wars in my opinion where the emphasis is on action rather than literary substance. Still enjoyed it though.

I wasn’t too sure about it for the first 2 seasons and agree that it was more Star Wars than Star Trek, but I’m really enjoying season 3 it really seems to be trying to tie in with all the previous iterations of Star Trek with name drops and even the sound effects you can recognise going right back to the original series.

I'm a big Trek fan and I think it's my favourite edition of the franchise yet.

I’m not sure if I could say it’s my favourite yet, but it’s definitely got the potential to be. I know where others are coming from though as it’s definitely a bit different from the others. The special effects are astounding.

Despite loving all (and I mean even Enterprise!) of the variations of the franchise previously, I didn't take to Picard. Given the different setting in comparison to the others, I felt the narrative needed a really strong lead character which, as much as I like Patrick Stewart, Picard isn't.

Also said they have 86m Disney plus subscribers already which is frightening until you hear Netflix has 3 times that number

I thought Solo was one of the best in the franchise, along with Rogue One. The Mandalorian too. Not a particularly big Star Wars fan but definitely prefer the spin offs to the new movies, which are decent enough IMO.

Yep. I’m not a particularly big Star Wars fan but loved The Mandalorian. Trying not to give any spoilers, was a bit gutted the direction it looks to be going in next given I’ve grown fond of the The Mandalorian and baby Yoda.

Sounds like we’ll get that characters season in December 21 and then the Mandalorian S3 will follow the year after.

Hopefully they can maintain that standard.
