Yes but to be fair, it's his money to give them if he wants to. We wouldn't consider it "doping" if a Hibs fan won the Euro lottery and decided to give the club a few milliin a year. In the past, they have relied on borrowing money they couldn't afford and in the Vlad days they had an owner who was a crook spending other peoples money and basically stealing from people to fund their 1st team.

Budge is a lot of things, but she's not a thief and Anderson is perfectly entitled to give his money to whoever he wants. Thankfully Anne, Levein and Stendel were very, very good at squandering it...but I suspect Neilson will be a much more astute manager in the long term.
No, I don’t want to be fair on them There’s no suggestion that they are doing anything wrong with their fund raising, we just need reminding every so often that we are not on the same level financially as Hearts.

Too often I read on here that we are somehow both now on a level playing field - this really isn’t the case. They’ve pushed through the best part of £30m of extraneous funds in the past few years. They are streets ahead of us when we compare annual incomes. Fortunately, through appalling management, this hasn’t translated on to the pitch.

yep. They’re well ahead of us financially, and this will be the fourth consecutive season where they are behind us on the pitch. Extremely pleasing.

Fair points..I guess it revolves around what we mean by the term "doping". Certainly they have burnt through a lot more cash than us in the last few years.

It's not how much you've got, but what you're doing with what you've got and who is steering the boat.

Can I just say what a cracking job Mrs doctor Budge continues to do. Hearts slump on all fronts hasn't just happened on it's own and they've managed to be even more disliked and an object of ridicule almost simultaneously.

    Marvellous.

I wonder what else she could achieve, given time?

“Oops I accidentally burned Tynecastle to the ground by leaving my hair curlers plugged into our dodgy wiring.”

“I’ve managed to commit 10,000 Hearts fans to getting involved in the Armenia/Azerbaijan border dispute, quite by accident.”

“I forgot to mention my fever and cough before getting on a plane and now I’ve caused a global spike in Covid infections.”

Possibly all 3 by tea time, given her multi-tasking abilities.

I'm wondering if the golf guy will be equally gaffe prone and therefore capable of being delegated to so the good doctor can get her teeth into even bigger **** ups?

There's still plenty donations to blow.

If this was uttered in say, the manner and dialect of DCI Hastings of Line of Duty, this would be more pleasing still. Tell me that’s how you say it!

It will be just our luck to have Boyle, Gogic and Nisbet having to self isolate just before the semi
I’m more concerned we might end up with the worst keeper I’ve seen in the SPL starting for us 🙈 I’m sure he’s a good coach though

Ewan Murray is boycotting PPV involving Cowdenbeath, Donald Finlay will be devastated....

“People can obviously do as they choose with their money but handing over a tenner which Cowdenbeath can claim a % of won’t feature in the top 3000 things I’ll be doing this weekend.”

Reading Ewen Murray's column in the Guardian is another expense to value worth avoiding. Might send a tenner to Cowdenbeath to make up this bellends loss.

Is this because Donald Findlay is chairman?

I thought Guardian journalists were thought to be quite intelligent rather than moronic as in his case.

Yeah, I'm surprised at the Guardian employing that particular bell end. He's a jambo with an agenda not a true journalist. Same with Ton Englisher, Levein and Budge's bestie.

I don't mind the fact he's a Jambo but absolutely every bit of reporting or comment he makes is driven by partisan bias and he's snidey and nasty with it. He even looks like a wee rat or weasel. The twisted slants he's put on some recent news is just plain embarrassing.

The fact he's able to write English quite eloquently shouldn't excuse the fact that he's just a fan with a typewriter and a big baby at that.

Got to be said that was my favourite part of the Hearts relegation saga when Findlay absolutely skewered both Levein and English on Heartsound. It was an absolute delight.

That’s exactly what it is. Especially from a so called quality journalist. They have definitely become like a cult where you have to believe the doctrine. And like the Mormons with their brown suits everybody avoids speaking to them due to the nonsense they spout.🤣

The Guardian are running their top young players of 2020 feature at the moment, but Ewan did a bit of nonsense on Hickey last year that’s one of the most cringeworthy things I’ve ever read. Rabbits on about Hearts ‘blossoming alliance’ with Man City and how he’ll definitely go there, then with a 2020 update by someone else that’s basically ‘uh, so he went to Bologna.’

Another hot take from him. Man needs to impose a strict self bogwashing regime.
