Just saw this on Twitter - Sevco statement “Rangers intends to implement the Coronavirus job retention scheme for a number of employees.” Let’s all sing “Furlough, furlough, we will furlough Rangers.”
You can now take a gold star and move straight to the front of the class.

So, lets see if I've got this right:

The Rangers realise they can't afford to pay their players.
The players have either not been asked to reduce their salaries, or have said no.
The Rangers will be lumbering themselves with even larger debt than the massive amount they already have.

    Is that about right?

Yip. A deferral is a debt.

I'm sure Celtic would agree to an asterisk if Rangers agreed to asterisk the EBT and imperfectly registered player years. Not to mention "Going for 1" instead of "Going for 55".

Hibs fans acting like savages and some of the media trying to pin the blame on innocent hun supporters. Some game at Hampden apparently a few years back.

Apparently the celebration march back to Ibrox was cancelled and the Huns all did walking away back to their beds instead.

Can’t be right surely? Not very staunch behaviour if true.

I genuinely cannot understand why any club would actively seek out the rangers to complain about bullying and coersion?!?

Self-deluded bams who see themselves as some sort of custodians of justice rather than the bigot apologists they are.

I genuinely cannot understand why a business would submit a proposal knowing it would not be competent. Surely you'd make sure any submission made was indeed competent?

    From that link;
"We prepared this update in advance of the scheduled SPFL board meeting this morning, in the full anticipation that the SPFL board would rule our proposed resolution was not competent,"

I think this "not competent" is a blanket catch all tag that goes with anything the the sevco management get up to...

PR, they can say they tried to their fans, and that the evil authorities rejected their efforts. They’d have known it’d get rejected.

Generic Sevco / Rangers meltdown thread

Another issue quietly tidied up with a blind eye turned. Rod does Rangers a solid there.

I'm curious to know if they've done that with tacit approval from Celtic?

Celtic more than happy to see it go away. They have led their own fans on for years on this. They want a strong Rangers as much as Rangers fans.

Maybe that was part of the deal to get them onside with naming Celtc as Champions.

I think it's about time there was an investigation into corruption in the SPFL and SFA, starting with this and then the Five Way Agreement.

I seem to remember one club offered to pay for an investigation...

I think releasing it today it is made to look like a deal for yesterday but it’s not. The reason this is happening is because it’s the SFA that is in the dock. They are the guilty party here who turned a blind eye to fraud. The whole thing stinks but what do we do? Nothing really. We just accept it. Hibs are as guilty here as any other club. There is still no transparency in the game and still no FFP rules in Scottish football.
Can’t really blame Rangers for working the system when we are happy to watch them do it.

Still amazes me that they got away with fielding players who were "improperly registered" and yet wee clubs make an honest mistake in the registration process and get hammered for it.

Absolutely stinks to the high heaven - 2 years for the Panel to gather the evidence and convene a meeting!

Sounds like a carve-up - The Rangers said it should be heard by CAS and the SFA Judicial Panel agree that jurisdiction does sit with CAS but that after 'consideration of the implications of such a referral, including legal opinion...' the matter shouldn't be referred to CAS!

    Interesting words used, especially 'implications!'

Now, to use the phrase shouted out by Sevco and their sympathisers in the media, 'if they they have nothing to fear, then refer the matter...'

No transparency whatsoever by the SFA but we shouldn't be surprised!

And Hibs will remain silent as usual. We play in a rigged league but the club seem unconcerned? Quite weird.
