Pep Guardiola’s side signed the ‘Japanese Messi’ from Gamba in August 2019 and, thanks to a special relationship between the Premier League Champions and Edinburgh’s oldest football club, founded in 1874, loaned him to Scottish Premiership side Hearts.

At Hearts, Meshino will have the opportunity to further develop his skills on the pitch while impressing the fans with his ability. He will learn, grow and prosper in Edinburgh and it is an honour to have this special talent in Scotland, and at Hearts.

That's incredible. Self aggrandisement par excellence!

If hearts were a politician, they'd be Donald Trump.

The EEN pointed out today that they've used 26 different players at left back since 2014. On the JKB thread discussing this, many are saying that Adam Eckersley was the pick of the bunch. It's strange then that he never even got a game for us the short time he was at ER.

I specifically used that segment because it has the Lady Haig Poppy Fund and Macraes Battalion.

See if you'd expanded it a wee bit you could have included other charitable or public spirited bodies like BIG Hearts Community Trust, HOMFC shareholders association or various NHS bodies.

Just counted: in the same time period we've had eight, and I reckon one player makes up at least 90% of all appearances in that position.

Stendal has said Glenn Whelan has no leadership qualities and basically said he will look to move him on. Outstanding management.

I said that to my lad yesterday. His point of view is that Hibs have the upper hand even though one of his early derbies was a certain cup final. He has missed a few in the last 8 or 9 years and he has probably got a winning record when watching the Derby. They don't know they are born the younger generation and it explains why I was still concerned yesterday until about 88 mins when he thought it was a schoosh
Yeah me too mate am still mentally scarred from the 80s and early 90s runs against them. I didnt breathe easy until the 90th min on Thurs. The youngsters these days dont know they are living

Not so sure. I started taking Ozyhibby jnr when he was almost 4 in 2010. His first 5 years watching Hibs was pretty traumatic with us losing two cup finals, skirting with relegation before eventually getting relegated and then staying down for far too long. By the time we won the cup in 2016 he was fairly battle hardened for a 9 year old and had earned his spurs.

He doesn’t turn up for training most days apparently, he’s basically part time, the problem with that is he’s on £8k a week. When you add in the fact that Naismith is working from home and also on a huge wage you can see why there’s a bit of disharmony in the dressing room.

Is that normal at a club?

Lead from the top, the directors of football/sporting directors seem to float about between home and work and the manager who hadn't heard of them wasn't even in the country in the build up to their cup final so, yes, it's normal at one club.
