    This is heart-breaking - the laddie's a footballer going to a place where football isn't the no.1 objective !

The Hun will drag him down to their levels - tragic !

Yes, I have BEEN to livi games. I never once said anything to the contrary. So perhaps you should look back at all of my posts before putting words in people's mouths.

Very simple deflection tactics from yourself though, scared to let yourself go and be trolled so you just accuse everyone of trolling. Like a playground bully lashing out at all and sundry.

People have their lucky green boxers in a twist because I said Halkett is superb. If it wasn't the suggestion that hearts had made a good signing, then what was it?
Methinks you are trying too hard to justify yourself Duncan

Rangers under Gerrard are actually a decent football team.

Damour looks a good signing on paper but we have seen many and player from the championship not cut it up here. Watching his highlights he likes to dive in to tackles, could be a yellow card machine.

Many sevco fans I've spoken to say Middleton is a good player and think he will do well for us, so hoping he can do the business

Great news. Gerrard was said to be worried by the anxiety it was causing on Hibs net and decided to make the announcement so we could all relax and sleep this weekend. True gent.

We’d have the same thread tbh.

People like The Horde who rate him would say it’s a superb signing while people like PatHead and BSEJVT would, as you say, be first in line to say he’s fine but nothing special.
That's not what was said though is it?

But lets on go on misrepresenting what was said, noticeable that that other classic troller who started this off hasn't come back on being called out on doing so either.

What a sad wee life you two have constantly stirring up discontent and getting away with it on this board, whilst ruining it for others.

What was said was he is superb, not a superb signing!

There is no objective measurement in the world under which Halkett at this stage of his career can be described as superb. It is possible that he could develop into a good player, then great player, then maybe even a superb player but he patently isn't just now and is fine. Sadly even the notoriously over complimentary press haven't picked up on his superbness as yet.

Still lets big up everyone else's signings and criticise ours and Hibs

FWIW it is worth I would not describe any of our current players as superb but a few have been superb signings

Naismith although not a superb player has been a great signing for them as he has galvanised them into being better than the sum of their parts

I am however totally fed up off continuously reading all the **** peddled by an increasing number of posters on here

I am going to give it a rest for a while, maybe for good.

Thanks to all the posters over the years who have tried to honestly debate the pros and cons of our great football club

Very good young winger but very prone to injury. Hope he doesn't get the same treatment Duncan Whatmore got when playing at Hibs.

i know i shouldn't ask but it's such a strange comment i feel i have to. What's their number 1 objective if it isn't football?

All about opinions, to me he looks sluggish for want of a better word and not particularly switched on BUT it's early days it's only initial impressions on all the new signings. I'm not going to write anyone off, you only need to look at Cosgrove to see how some players take time to settle at a new club.
I think that is key time to bed in. How many times do we here from players from the south surprised at the pace of the game up here. James looks to me like he has great ball control and passing like you I'll vice them a couple of months and hope they are all flying

    Halkett is fine
As per the above, that is exactly what was said.

As usual, some people on this forum get their knickers in a twist when someone says something they don't agree with and start accusing them of trolling rather than engaging in a discussion. It's these sort of reactions that ruin the mood on this forum, not the opinion that someone is a superb player.

Calling someone a superb player is not trolling. You are quite within your rights to disagree and debate the point but it is not trolling, no matter how much you don't like it or disagree with it. Likewise, calling someone a superb player does not ruin anything for anybody.

You are the one who is misrepresenting what was said. The poster has not been bigging up everyone else's signings and criticising ours. He has praised one Hearts signing. Debate it or deal with it but don't 'ruin the thread' by complaining about it and turning it into a witch hunt.

If you wouldn't describe anyone as superb then great, that is your opinion. I respect that, just as you should respect others opinions without accusing them of trolling.

If you don't like the nature of a discussion forum where there are going to be a hundreds if not thousands of varying opinions and points of view then maybe you're making the right choice in leaving the site.

Hopefully we see you back on here soon.

Cosgrove is flying fair play to him

The other guy they had a few years back was James Maddison never really noticed him but is now bigging it up with Leicester City in the EPL

    Never say never 😁

Middleton was extremely close to going to Holland but we showed some interest last minute and he picked us instead. Looking forward to seeing him play.

The great imperialist racists. In Brasil we call them gringos. In what way is Yanks racist? I dont think you can be racist against the great white oppressors.

In the US civil war was used a derogatory term for the north. But since then used as term to describe their boorish arrogance all round the world. Used by those who have suffered their bullying and insincerity.

Ojo & Jones. Looks like they're signing Barker as well. They also still have Grezda on their books.

    Last season it was Kent.

It’s amazing that when a thread goes off tangent and invariably ends up with accusations of trolling and counter trolling you can predict some of the posters who will be in the thick of it before you’ve even read the thread.

It’s an offensive word used against a country and North American (white)race. Pretty racist to me.

Kind of just doing this as a token gesture - but any chance we can get this back on topic, even to make it broadly about transfers or football even.

In the Philippines we call them Americanos. Originally lighter skinned Hispanic/South Americans. Also means coward as the US white rulers left the Filiipinos to suffer at hands of imperial Japan. As I said you can't be racist against the great white oppressor that has invaded countless countries and arrogantly throws its weight around bringing death and misery to tens if not hundreds of millions of people.https://www.indy100.com/article/usa-...arines-7908611

It's a shame but it's essentially become a self fulfilling prophecy.

Poster A makes perfectly reasonable post
Poster B doesn't like Poster A and accuses him of trolling
    Poster A defends himself

Thread off topic and becomes an argument about trolling

Poster C, "ah there's Poster A ruining threads again".

I've said it before and I'll keep saying it - if people showed the same levels of respect towards opinions they don't agree with to those they do agree with then the threads wouldn't go off like this.

The french boy looks good on paper for them and had half a good season for Cardiff. So did that Marbury Martin guy though, I would be more concerned if they convinced Whelan to sign, Whelan would do a great job in our team also.

Fair call Matty, as we were...

I agree with TH. Halkett is a superb player at this level and I'd be interested to hear the thoughts of other posters
