But so would ojo, it would then be a case of which player would be worth the payment
I know, but I suspect Scunny will be looking for more money than Posh. If Scunny settle for a nominal fee then it could be back on but as O'Hara is Scottish he's always going to be cheaper/undervalued. Personally I like O'Hara but that may be influenced by when I saw him score 2 against Sevco!!

Scott Allan on DR today blaming Celtic for scuppering his move to HIBS in January and treating him and Gamboa unprofessionally and sending them to train on their own in the Gym or with the kids 😳

Wish he’d just kept his mouth shut in my opinion
Presume he was paid handsomely to be at Celtic

Why does it matter how much someone is paid in regards to how they are treated at their workplace?

And yet the BBC article the other day has him explaining his disappointment but the reasons he was given under Rodgers and Lennon. It read totally different.

Players do need to be careful but papers, especially the DR, will turn anything said to suit their needs.

He wanted back last summer but Lawell moved the posts and again in January, he even mentioned the McGinn situation, Celtic think they can do as they please in Scotland.

Lennon was lucky with 3-5-2 when we got 4th, it was an injury to Gray which allowed Boyle to play wingback, a fot Gray and Boyle and we can't play that way unless we drop one of them.

Seems to be a Kamberi-esque situation. Doesn't seem to have done much at Kaiser Chiefs, but if Hecky sees something in him then I'll trust his judgment.

Jordan Forster signed for Dundee . BBC Sport Scotland. Was always sorry we let him go. Very competitive player and good for a few goals

But but but TheCat told us it was Dempster who moved the goal posts last summer and it was all her fault he never signed and Allan would be unlikely to ever deal with Hibs again.

Meh, I think he was a little over hyped because he broke into a poor team, didn’t rate him much tbh

Hearing McNulty probably won’t be back and looking at options down south.

Marciano flying back and due back for training early next week though.

    Hibernian circa 2000 / 2001...?

Although you could say the wheels came off us a wee bit towards the end of that season... might have been more to with Latapy's drinking and us knocking the main stand down too right enough!
Our results were falling away before then.

Quite enjoyed it in the 2016 Scottish Cup Final
We were 2-1 down playing 3-5-2. We took Fontaine off and went to a back 4 and brought on Henderson 🏆

I would want him back but wouldn’t go near the fee that Reading want. Best we can probably hope for is a loan at the end of the window if he’s failed to get a move elsewhere.

Great comment. I'm not a fan of 3-5-2 either but it did work for a while for Hibs 2000-01 (largely down to playing a proper sweeper and a world class one at that in Sauzee and having a tremendous wing back in Laursen). It also gave Latapy a free role which is what he needed.

Also worked reasonably well in the latter half of 2017-18 - again allowing Allan a free role but dont think we had the wing-backs to sustain it.

I think 3-5-2 can work but it needs special players to carry it off. You need the wide centre-halves to be comfortable out wide and be brave and push forward. Hanlon does it brilliantly on the left hand side. I prefer 4-4-2 as I think the most dangerous ball is a cut-back from the goal line and wing backs never get that far up. Give me a winger with an over-lapping full back any day of the week.

The other obvious thing is that the players with the least footballing ability tend to be centre-halves - so why play three????!!

I'm not sure we'd see the best of Scott Allan in a 4-4-2 so suspect we are going to end up with a 4-3-3 with a single striker and I think that is why Doidge has been brought in. Bringing in McNulty will allow us to vary it and it looks like PH wants us to be fairly flexible in how we play which links into his comments about all the different styles in the SPFL.

It did work but the wheels did fall off it just like it always does. After we beat St Mirren 4-2 at home on the 10th of Feb, we only won 1 more league game.

It’s far to reliant on it wing backs. You need players that are incredibly fit who are willing to get up and down and are a significant threat going forward.

On top of that, you arguably need 4 cos if one gets injured, yer knackered. I remember Hearts playing wing backs in the mid-90’s with McKinlay and Frail. They were flying. Frail was incredible. He got injured and Hearts form fell off a cliff. My Jambo pal said it was like a wheel had fallen off as they had no one else that could play it.

Give it a rest ffs, he was told Dempster cancelled the deal but he never checked why, he jumped the gun, Lawell wanted all his wages covered.

Aye but what about the bit on Allan never dealing with us again, he was furious if my memory is right with Dempster, and the bit where he also didnt care about digging her out?

I had someone try and explain to me the other day that the earth was flat, never entered my head to tell anyone else, as there are some things that are complete bollox that repeating them only make you out to look stupid.

Hopefully the trial is long enough for us to ascertain whether or not he has a dark side to him.

    That hashtag is a belter.

"Well that's all the boys back from their holidays. Ladies of Magaluf, Asia Napa and Skegness - you can breathe a sigh of relief and get yourselves along to your GPs at last, as the spit roasters of Scunny leave you all alone to come back home to play some football. #uti "

Actually had about 270 mins all told playing time and Jamie walker played one game in 18 months. Still they are great signings though. Mmm.
