Right Hibs that's the important business of getting a new strip out, let's get on with the more boring job of making more signings!!

I’m not looking for a fight, I just heard and read it a lot during the Lennon fallout. Even though the board clearly backed him with signings. Also it's Heckys first transfer window hence the use of inevitably.
No problem, understand 👍 more of the media saying he wasn’t backed.

    Tom James from Yeovil.

    https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/spo...s-yeovil-town/

Appears to be a right back so solid competition for Gray. WBA had a 400k bid accepted in 2018 but he failed to agree terms with them.
So far the media haven't got much right regarding our transfer targets. We seem to be keeping things within the club.

    Guy sounds a prospect mind

Sounds like exactly the right back we are looking for, good prospect coming up to scotland to prove a point, get some game time and look to take over from sir david.

Wouldn’t be unusual to have a Saturday morning signing

I think he'll sign on the Sabbath.

(One for those who remember the Kerrang! story)
Mature, sensible signature required for responsible position. Good prospects for the right candidate. Apply within.

The McNulty transfer sounds far from done. Reading apparently looking for big fee according to EEN

Must be someone elsewhere that actually scores goals at a reasonable price?

    Edit:

8:20 no bad works hard off the ball but went over two months without scoring

All I am saying is look around

Might be too expensive for our gravy

    Reading playing Hardball

    In Hecky we trust

We haven't been saying that this season because the evidence suggests the manager is being backed.
Or maybe the manager has a much better set out strategy and vision of how he wants to play and the type of player he needs, that has been communicated to his recruitment team and that's why we are seeing the targets coming in. His approach since day one for me, has been a lot more professional than Lennon's ...so looking back on Lennon's transfers and last summer, maybe he just hadn't got himself organised had a clear strategy, hence we were scrambling about in the transfer market without real direction from Lennon. Also it seems that Hecky has a sound knowledge of players down south and has done his homework and prep , did Lennon ????

Wouldn't be paying more than 2/300k tbh.

I can name better players than him than went 2 months without scoring, shouldn't factor into our decision at all.

Agree. But not sure most players with a fee of 300k will be tempted by wages we can offer, not saying that there isn’t any out there but targets will be restricted.

    Agree!

My point is I am not convinced about him as an out and out goal scorer

He has not set the heather in fire imho

If we could get him cheap enough I would still be looking to get a poacher to play along beside him

  22. #2871
Can only see hibs getting from a Marciano type agreement. 50% sell on, add ons,

cant see hibs going past £350k up front.

Im sure hecky will have others already lined up.

Don’t think anyone would suggest McNulty should be our only attacker coming in, doubt whether a poacher is the answer if hecky wants to play 451 more often than not, IMO he needs a guy capable of being an effectice, upwardly mobile lone striker.

If things had worked out had we not agreed to pay Darmstadt £500k for McLaren this summer ? If we thought he was worth that McNulty definitely is.

Don’t think it was anything reputable in those early reports.

Think we need to strengthen the midfield and striker department.

IMHO I think Kamberi is the better finisher between him and McNulty and if Hecky wants to play a fluent 4-5-1/4-3-3 then it might be a case of one or both will have to start playing a wider role.
