Hang on. Your post was all about your views on the SNP's vote. My point was about Scotland- AGAIN - voting remain. It's not for me to tell you how we should stay in the EU. Tell me, please, why we should accept leaving the EU.

Watching the BBC, the "big" parties are hurting badly. Tories and Labour are totally not relevant today

So in 2016 there was a UK wide referendum (the UK Scotland voted to remain part of) and all the votes from across the whole of the UK were added up between Remain and Leave. Leave got more votes than Remain, so they therefore 'won' that vote.

So, we are leaving because we voted "No" in 2014?

Great result for the SNP tonight. Shame that the Greens didn't gets seat. What about Labour, total shambles. There is a certain poster who is conspicuous by his absence on this thread. Mon Scottish Labour indeed!! Labour is fronted by the two worst "leaders" I can ever remember, which is a bit sad really.

Ignore the media hype. This is a failure for the brexit party and neither the SNP, or the Lib Dems, or the Greens are obliged to include them in any brexit talks.

They're doing incredibly well for a party that is "failing Scotland" in the eyes of British Unionist/Nationalists.

I personally owned and used software which failed on 1 January 2000 because its authors didn't change it.

What a failure from the SNP.

Disappointed to see the Greens come very close to overhauling Labour but not quite managing it. Overall though pretty pleased with the results. The Brexit Party essentially condensed the Tory and leave vote into one and still had an average night at best in Scotland. Make no mistake, they wanted far better.

Fantastic night which cements the SNP as the party for Scotland.
Can anyone spot the border. 😊

Pretty comprehensive win for the SNP in Scotland - reading Tweets from some of the Conservatives in Scotland is really funny - because they did less **** here than the rUK, they've championing themselves as having "succeeded" something. No matter how you spin it, the Conservatives and Labour both took a national pasting.
The SNP asked for votes to help them "stop Brexit". They've got their votes. Now what?

So let me get this right:
1 in every 2.63 voters in Scotland voted for SNP
1 in every 6.80 voters in the Scotland voted for the Brexit party
1 in every 7.19 voters in the Scotland voted for the Lib Dems
1 in every 8.54 voters in Scotland voted for the Conservatives
This is somehow a bad night for SNP?

In truth. Nigel Farages following hasn't budged over the past several years.

Britain will send 10 MORE more pro-EU MEPs to Brussels than in 2014. Last time there were 43 UKIP plus Tories - this time Brexit + Tories will be only 33. Whichever way you look at it, Brexit has LOST this election.

Interesting that the Brexit vote in Scotland is basically the Tories and Ukip losses + 0.5%

The SNP don't need a plan. It's a win/win for the SNP, even if brexit goes ahead.

I think if I was a SNP supporter I would of course be happy at the results, but a review of the underlying figures suggests they have not really moved forward much at all in the last few years. I am sure the leadership would have believed the chaos of the last few years would have moved them forward more.

You know full well the EU elections have nothing to do with support for Scottish Independence and the results in EU elections don't mirror the results in general elections or referendums.
It's an utterly desperate argument to make.
