I haven't listened to Radio 3 for years - it was starting to feel very dry and they seemed to want to play music that was obscure and (IMO) not very good. Maybe they've changed back, I'll give it a listen if only to hear this guy's voice. Classic FM is probably a bit too far the other way, but it has improved and is a decent listen if you don't mind just hearing single movements. On another medium, I see ITV are playing the Lacrimosa from Mozart's Requiem over their drama trailers. Whilst I agree with your comment that his music is a bit clinical, the Requiem is one of several exceptions. Anyone that can listen to the Lacrimosa without getting goosebumps has no soul. Particularly hearing it live in a setting like the Albert Hall.
