They'd be right to be concerned. Had a discussion with a jambo a while back when I claimed Hearts fans just sat back and watched Mercer, The Pieman and Vlad financially dope them beyond all hope. He came back with the fact (and it is) that Hearts fans did protest against both Mercer and The Pieman. On pointing out that they only complained about those two when the financial doping was dropped I didn't get any reply at, all 'cos that is a fact too.
Quite. I'm simply not buying the guff that they are the innocent parties in their demise. The cold facts will tell everyone that they fell on the sword of their self described 'big team' arrogance. They only grew dissatisfied with Romanov's antics when he stopped putting silly funny money through their soiled books.

For this reason I would love to see a CVA lumbering them with either a tight-arsed boss in Budge, or even more hilariously, trying to run the show themselves. They just don't have the psyche to make either work.

Sadly I doubt this will happen as they've messed it up beyond recognition and are liquidation bound. Either way we have to look forward to the arrogant sneers of the bully continuing to become the unseemly 'poor us' whimperings of the coward.

There's an aspect here we haven't yet discussed! A woman, a lady by all reports, owning their football club.

Football has long been regarded as a male stronghold. Indeed reports from clubs where ladies have [had] power suggest a real struggle.

The yams, like most clubs, have had powerful and successful men [ok I'll concede], at the helm, pulling the strings; a few hangers on appear to consider themselves in the same bracket.

I've already had yampals talking about the Budgie Burd in the manner of 'her indoors' and other terms suggesting a wee bit of sweet talking and she'll be putty in their hands.

Another wee thing to look out for as this blows up in their faces.
If ever there was an 'unreconstructed man' stereotype, it would be them Jack. Their attitudes to all things go back even further than last century. The term 'Throwback' was devised specifically with them in mind

Never considered them as 'bullies' DBS, they were never that hard. More like spoiled kids living out of daddies wallet. Daddy's done the inheritance playing the stockmarket though. Life's gonna be hard for them now....hopefully with them being turfed out onto the street for starters

Yes, on reflection your description far more apt. Well, the trust fund has truly been cut off now but the mentality is the same. I fear they will be in for a dreadful shock trying to pay their way from here on in. Once the novelty of adventure wears off, the vast majority will lack the spine to stick with the club.

A Yam supporting friend of my brother's is always having a 'go' at me on Facebook with comments like "football is not for girls" and other equally ridiculous nonsense. When I pointed out to him that 1) Hear7s need ALL of their fans money at the moment and 2) a female was being touted as their saviour, he seemed to disappear . Even his other pals were embarrassed for him.

Mrs Budge has recently moved into a large stone detached house about 500 yards from the PBS as the crow flies.

It fronts the main road and her personalised plate car is in the drive.

Won't take the knuckle-draggers long to find that out and when hero turns to zero they'll be at her gates.

    There goes the neighbourhood.

    Note the last paragraph

There is no suggestion that FoH would loan money to run the club, it would be a gift
Legally F.O.H. could not lend them the money.

I'm more concerned reading on their twitter page that Tam Cowan charges £800 fees to attend events !!

All that cash to watch that humourless scotch egg on legs - surely a fraud there ?
To be fair that is only .2p from each of the 400,000 fans.

True - but I'd rather sit through a box set of Late Call episodes than watch that idiot !

Here’s a pro-forma for FOH to release at the end of every week, in the interests of ‘fan communication.’

    1. The Optimistic Intro

Well it’s another week on since our last bulletin, and we’re still working frantically behind the scenes to make history and ensure that the bold dream of total fan ownership of our proud Heart of Midlothian Football Club, becomes a reality! This has only been possible by our fabulous fans, who have banded together as a family, and have been the salvation of our glorious club in these difficult times.

    2. The 'Absolving Myself of the Blame When It goes Tits-up' Section

However, while we are delighted that all parties have reached agreement in principle, there remain several obstacles in place to achieving our goal. As has been stated, the procedures are incredibly complex, and although much has been achieved, we still have some way to go to cross the finishing line.

    3. The Dark, Discretely-Hidden, but Thinly-Veiled Warning

However, we remain confident in doing this before our finances compel alternative courses of action.

    4. The Shameless Tap-Up for More Cash

Which brings us onto the age-old issue of money. Hearts fans have already made superhuman efforts to save the club, and it’s with heavy hearts that we exhort you to try to dig deeper. If you already contribute, see if you can review your finances and perhaps offer just a bit more. It could be that a family member and close friend has Hearts sympathies and doesn’t want to see the heart and soul of Edinburgh consigned to history. Identify those individuals and tell them about our debit scheme!

    5. The Final Rallying Cry

But with your help, we are confident that this will not happen. Hearts fans have been magnificent in backing the club through thick and thin. We are confident that we are on the verge of something great and exciting, a bold new future for our famous and glorious club.

(Play promo video and gush silver tears on pride, get on phone/net to adjust pledge northwards)

(Repeat, with minor variations, till liquidation.)

So quick question to one of our more financial experts to answer, WHEN or indeed IF the shares become defrosted how long will it take them to get the CVA agreed so FOH can take over and hand the reigns to Budge?

I'm presuming IF it happens the next step would be to agree a deal with UBIG or UKIOS to purchase these, shares? Is there a cooling period involved whereby FOH could get gazzumped?

IF they then purchase said shares, will the creditors have a cooling period before agreeing p in the £ and once that is over only then they can come out of admin with a voluntary CVA?

If I'm correct surely this could take at least 2 full months to accomplish?

That IF is a massive word I reckon!

They've pretty much got everything in place to get things up and running when they get the shares and yesterday's announcement by Ian Murray is just another step towards that.

The shares are the key though. Without them they're stuffed and there's absolutely nothing to suggest that they'll get them anytime soon. If it was as easy as some of them think then they would have had them months ago.

    But they don't.

    And won't

Yes, all they are doing is agreeing procedures between themselves to be enacted when they finally get the shares. The procedure for them ('them' in this case including the other shabby entities they became inextricably bound up with on this adventure) agreeing to get the shares from the Lithuanian authorities is a different matter and is always going to be the key issue.

They can't set a timetable because this is out of their hands. They simply have no way of knowing how long this will take. All precedents point to at least months, possibly years, when they need this to happen in WEEKS.

    Otherwise...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5zke0qh1fdY

I knew they had most things verbally agreed but will there still not be a legal procedure for them to follow which could add to the delay and push them closer to the deadlines for next next season?

Although hopefully the iceberg stays frozen long enough to impact the sinking ship further!

Barry Anderson embarrassed himself on twitter earlier today. In one tweet he lambasted the financial state of QPR. He called them mental and buffoons. His next tweet was to alert the yams to Paulo Sergio autograph signing at tynie this weekend. I replied to make him aware of the irony and hypocrisy within his tweets but he put his head in the sand and chose not to believe!

Yes. They need to wait for a series of meetings and court hearings to take place and they have to hope the shares are unfrozen at the end of the process.

Part 1 will be slow and part 2 is extremely unlikely

Continuing glimmers of hope shine through the fog of their delusion.

Monkey 70 on Typewriter 62 Writes

The story goes that one of the earleir delays was purely down to the fact that anybody who was anybody at the Lithuanian administrators was dealing with creditors far, far more important than us. Unless the teaboy deals with us, we will have to wait until such times people are freed up.

In lieu of this, and I know they wont nor really should, you would think the footballing authorities in this country would recognise this when it comes to our coming out of admin date. I have a very uneasy feeling that this might rumble on and we miss the deadline re a further points reduction. Everybody can see we have everything in place, we have worked hard and got ourselves into a workable position for the future. I'd hate to think we could incur further sanctions purely because we are so far down the food chain.
Remember recovery comes in waves and not straight lines. We might be able to save the patient yet.

If we ignore the persistent failure of them to take responsibility, and instead focus on the growing acceptance that they are not that important globally, surely it's only a matter of time till they accept their insignificance everywhere.

That's exactly the line they're going to try..........

"Look, we've done all we can but we're being held up by the Lithuanian legal system. It's not our fault (just like everything else)".
