If ever there was any doubt that Hearts should be liquidated, pure and simple, then this report confirms it.

I struggle to find words strong enough to convey my feelings about it, but its disgusting. So much damage done in their wake, and for what? To crow about winning a few football matches.

They are a disgrace to football and clubs like this MUST be eliminated if football is ever to regain any respect in society.

Their craven fans seem to think this is all a lark, but there are real world consequences to this debt. Real people lose their jobs, real businesses go bust, and real taxpayers have to pay more to cover the losses to the public purse.

Well run and socially responsible clubs like Hibs, St Johnstone, Raith Rovers and so on SHOULD NOT play in a league system with clubs like Hearts and Sevco as we are then tacitly approving their actions. We are tainted by association.

In addition, supporters of well run clubs have been cheated out of the money they have paid in supporting their own clubs, as it was a rigged game.

We should be demanding their expulsion from football, and then cheering their dissolution by law. However Scottish Football (and let's face it world football in general) is corrupt and as far from socially responsible as it's possible to get.

Some may say I'm taking this too seriously. Just ask someone who has seen their business fail, or has lost their job because of the actions of Hearts how seriously they feel about it.

    This.
A reasonably straightforward task, just a bit time consuming.

    Press Association
    STV
    Rep Scotland
    all the papers
    Radio Forth
    etc.,

You just have to work through them.

Banderson is a closet jambo, the act is boring myself and others. It's funny he doesn't have a come back to the claims, no doubt he will try and discredit the CVA list this afternoon.
There`s absolutely nothing "closeted" about this morons jamboness.

If the media in this country were capable of doing their jobs properly and without favouritism, they would be reacting to it already. Guys on here knew where to look and found it easy enough. It shouldn`t take posters on a messageboard to do their jobs for them.

I think it has to be asked, how on earth are they owe more than 5 million to Heriot Watt??. Crazy amount of money and for what, has to be a mistake there??
For that money you could have built your own training centre

    He's never a giver.

I'm sure he arrives at the PBS for his daily 'brief' while leaving his Y's at the door, then waddling in backwards with his cheeks held open in the direction of Romanov/Southern/Jackson's office. (Delete accordingly).

As we all suspected. I still think he'll come back with something to discredit what is being out to him!

I'm honestly not sure they do. Number of hacks I've spoken to are aware of the report but not the contents as it's not worth their time getting into it at this juncture.

Maybe because I've got a long history of making a **** of him. :-)
    Me too.

He seems to do that to people who ask him for evidence to back up his stories, or provide evidence that show he's talking pish

A couple of posters offered a suggestion a few pages back. Along the lines of this new total representing the total to be paid over the course of the years left remaining on their lease - Or something like that.

Take a scroll back and see.

I would guess the £5 million owing to Heriot Watt will be the construction cost of the training centre which will have been included in their lease agreement and written down over the years of the lease. ( that is assuming they actually paid their rent money. )

If the lease agreement is now cancelled it is a good way for Heriot Watt to tidy up their books and get the new sports centre of excellence built without pesky Yams wanting a turn.

I'm always being told news is about telling a story and getting in to the nitty gritty makes the story much harder to tell. In this particular case there's no target market for the info. Proper fans already know or will find out soon enough and your average punter doesn't care. Mainstream media will always just give a rough overview unfortunately.

In the case of football as I've said a few times, everyone is scared to rock the boat. It's a reasonably close knit community in Scottish Football and you'd only really get one big story before all your contacts and access would dry up and you basically become a leper.

My job is to do all the grunt work and digging as well as keep up relationships with people who can help us (hence my contact at Tynecastle). If the news reported everything I dig up then the papers would be 800 pages long and news programs would be on for a couple of hours.

Because print media is dead. It's nothing more than a few self-serving buffoons clinging on desperately to a gravy train that is bound for the buffers, by trying to ingratiate themselves to their pompous, self-regarding proprietors. It'll be gone soon, particular the Scotsman stable. The places this information should be widely circulated to are reputable sports websites and online publications dedicated to social justice and value-for-money in public services. And Universities.

Not quite unless you had the £5m up front or the power to borrow it, Jambos failed on both counts.

Was the £650k VAT outstanding showing on the initial creditors list?

edit - no, it wasn't. You'd have thought that was an easy enough for BDO to have worked out in the first place.

Also, the debt for Edinburgh Council has dropped significantly. I'd hope they haven't decided to waive some of what was owed.......

The FoI info I got in July explained the Council had over estimated what the Council was owed by Yams because they had assumed they would not have been paid for the PBS rates for the first half of this financial year. However, BDO had to start paying the Rates the day they took over.

The residential council tax is for private lets taken for staff. I see D J Alexander the letting agent are due £ 6500.
