We still need to trade for a decent WR. And we need The Gronk back.

We definitely need another WR - our current crop are dropping far too much.Madness, as you know, is a lot like gravity. All it takes is a little push.

Brees interception. How that wasent a timeout or delay of game I will never know. Watched a lot of football and never saw that. He tried to take timeout at 1. Play clock went to 0. Ball snapped about 2 seconds later and they let the play go. Weird

I can understand not rushing him yet we need him. Ok we are 5-1 but they could also have been the other way.

Some crazy scores in college football again this weekend with Taxas A&M, LSU, Georgia and Clemson all losing.

With Ohio State winning again and Clemson getting crushed, the Buckeyes should find themselves at #3 when the rankings are announced tomorrow.
Not going to see the Patriots vs Jets game today but for the first time in a while, I think both teams and fans won't be sure what to expect! I do worry a little with the loss of Amendola, Talib, Mayo and long-term Wilfork that we're weaker than we were when we played them at Foxborough but another low-scoring game wouldn't surprise me today.Madness, as you know, is a lot like gravity. Two observations from today:
1. There is no more satisfying an image in sports than a dejected Tom Brady sitting on the bench.
2. Those Packers uniforms are smart.

Sports a strange thing. One week you win dodgy and the next week you lose. Even the score was the same

Strange week in the NFL - only seen our highlights, as I was out celebrating my wedding anniversary yesterday, but no complaints really. The players know the rules and you cannot do that anymore.
Geno Smith looks a very promising young QB - he just needs the Jets organisation to build around him and give him some viable weapons to useMadness, as you know, is a lot like gravity. All it takes is a little push.

Might the result yesterday finally result in the return of DH?! He's not posted in a long while despite the fact that he's running away with the fantasy league!

It seemed like a controversial call, but the call was right, sadly, but the examples of the rule shown to teams in the off season had guys pushing who were not on the LoS at the time of the snap to explain the penalty, which had many fuming when it was called.Last edited by Ryan91; 21-10-2013 at 01:27 PM.

Got a soft spot for the jets too as they have the most Hibs like jerseys
Edit
Just seen these tweets from Albert Breer, seems the patriots got away with doing the same thing against us last week. I wonder at what point that was and how it would have effected the game with the correct call.Last edited by DarrenSQH; 21-10-2013 at 04:08 PM.

I've got the Jaguars training not too far up the road from me this week...however, it's the Jaguars so I've no real inclination to see if I can get near them

Oh and the Jets did the exact same pushing thing during Gostkowski's Game-tying FG and did some at other points during the game.
The first time the penalty is called and it decided the game in question, and don't go on about tuck rule, that was a correct call and did NOT decide the game, it changed the game but did not hand the Patriots the win (unlike the pushing call in question, which effectively won the game for the Jets)
Also interesting to note that the wording of the rule was changed shortly after the game by the NFL on their site.
