To be fair to the jambos I think the last time they posted anything meaningful through their accounts was pre-Mercer (perhaps 1979)

So the poor wee lambs wouldn't think to look at Hibernian FC's accounts for their information - financial info to a Yam can only come from one of three sources, Vlad, Southern or a nameless ITK

following media reports regarding the relationship between Big Hearts Community Trust SC037311)and Heart of Midlothian plc we have recently concluded an inquiry into the charity. We did not identify any regulatory concerns during this inquiry. We note the amount due to Big Hearts Community Trust from Heart of Midlothian plc, but the existence of a debt due to a charity from a company in administration is not a regulatory matter. If you wish any further information on this you should contact the charity.

Hmmm - no mention of Southern's role in both organisations and the potentail conflict of interest?

Very good points about David Southern, who seems to lead a very 'teflon' charmed life, despite his murky dealings. The Hearts affair and the Rangers one before it really does show the total absence of quality investigative journalism in Scotland.

Yep he is the Yams Campbell Ogilvie (who of course was also at Yams).

I wonder if any of the players chipped in to help out with this? They must be earning more than the average fan.
Some of them might be but I think the vast majority of them are on buttons. Also, we don't know to what extent they already put their hands in their pockets on a daily basis.

Saying that, you'd think Rudi would have offered them some of his mobile accommodation.

I'll never forget. Ever. And I'll remind them at every opportunity. For all their protestations, just remember they would be arguably worse if the shoe was on the other foot.
Never let them forget. About all of it.

All we need now is a series of hand signs.

Always up for slagging off the Gorgie mob, but since our lot could not beat a Hearts team of wet behind the ears kids not long out of school, I just don't have the heart for it anymore.

It's on the pitch that counts, and until we hammer them four or five times in a row - which I don't believe will happen - I really can't be bothered with all this pointless muck raking and point scoring.

I think we'd need to be very, very fortunate to continually draw non-league/lower league sides in the cup over the next decade, let alone be able to specify which one.

    Bob

My preferred option is that we never play them again, because they will cease to exist.

However, don't know how or why, I just think they are going to get of all the **** that should be coming to them.

But, believe me, I want to be wrong.

This has nothing to do with point scoring - more about reminding them "Lest they forget" with their Maroon tinted version of garbage which they pass off as "FACT" "END OF" etc.

Mindless low-life thieving **** of so-called Club who have stolen from every man, woman and child in this country and also from the historical memory of ALL who served in past conflicts (not just their and our and everybody else's saviours from WW1 blah deblah deblah) by specifically not paying their debt to the Poppy Fund (amongst other charities). They'll jump on the bandwagon about other people's faults (for example Bankers' over LIBOR manipulation if they were intelligent enough to understand its true consequences) which also affect everyone in the country but admit none of their own.

They're so quick to ram it up people about the Poppies etc and to wear their rag with the emblem of sacrifice upon it. Never let them forget - it's 100 years next August 4th and they'll be milking it.

THEY NEVER PAID FOR THEIR POPPIES!!! LEST THEY FORGET - THEY NEVER PAID FOR THEIR POPPIES!!!

Sooner they die as an institution of shame and perfidy the better (oh and I hope, to paraphrase the poet, they "do not go gently into that dark night but rage, rage against (the pain they all deserve for their antics and suffer like the **** they truly are). END OF and FACT

I didn't bother contacting the charity.

You could try e-mailing the individual Charity Trustees, they are listed on the Hearts own web-site on the Big Hearts link.
Ask if the charity loan to the football club was properly approved by the trustees and minuted and if they were made aware of the Clubs true financial state.

If you get a mixture of no replies or it is confidential guff, get back on to the Charity Regulator and say it is your understanding that the proper procedures were not in place to grant the loan.

It just might spark a reaction.

Its the right way to do it, but if thats ignored as being a bit inconvenient you could always take it up with the local MP.

I am sure in these recessionary times all MP's will be practicing what their parties preach and putting the public purse and interests first without fear or favour.

There is surely no chance of any MP ever condoning shafting the tax man, the hard pressed Edinburgh rate payers, the much referred to hard working small businesses and certainly not depriving educational institutions, the police or charities of their money. I don't see how any MP seeking re-election could ever say he could condome any of this, even an "independent" MP.

The other Edinburgh MP's don't seem to be saying a lot about the impact of all the unpaid money on the UK taxpayer and the Edinburgh ratepayers they represent, unless I have missed it .

They could even celebrate the fact that one of their own fans was so embarassed by this he paid it apparently, fair play to him, but they are between a rock and a hard place if they then seek to deny the existence of the poppy appeal on the creditors list published by BDO - they were bumped,............simples, same as the Macraes Batallion Trust.

Obviously the money was resting in their account, you'd think BDO would have explained that on their behalf, or maybe to them.

I find it baffling that a huge percentage of yams are completely unaware of the debt that their club is responsible for. A young neighbour of mine who attends Tynecastle had no idea that they were due money to The Police or Heriot Watt University. I asked him if he had seen the creditors list and he wasn't interested, said he only bothers about the team on the park. Another pal who really should know better as he is a successful businessman is convinced their debt is the same now as it was when The Pieman was in charge...19 million, he quoted me. Again, he hasn't looked at their creditors list as he 'just supports the team'. I am now of the opinion that the creditors list should be made compulsory reading for all yams to show them the depths to which their club has sunk. I intend to print off a few copies to give to my yam pals to help them to understand why there is such a strong feeling of animosity towards them from the ordinary hard working taxpayer.

Lest we forget the Scottish Ambulance Service, HMRC, Edinburgh Council, NHS Lothian, NHS Fife and even the British Red Cross. Let's hope these worthy institutions register high enough on the jambo cringe-o-meter that they get more than a few pence in the pound. What sort of organisation builds up ANY debt to the Scottish Ambulance Service and the British Red Cross?

I can laugh at them diddling HMRC (useless organisation who messed up my missus tax code for 4 years on the trot & got aggressive when their mistakes were pointed out) and i can chuckle at them screwing over Edinburgh's Yam dominated Council.

But our NHS, the Ambulance service and of all charities, the British Red Cross??!
    That's just unforgivable.

It's worth remembering, outside of the information available on here, the average punter is only aware of what's been in the mass media. So you'll either get indifference, or support for the plucky fight against adversity.

The only ones who know the truth of the situation are us. Nobody else knows / cares. Or in the Yams case, they simply don't want to know the truth.
