Anyone want to do a wee predictor? (Just for fun). Should be an interesting season, with some legendary players coming to the end of their careers, loads of young QBs trying to avoid a sophomore slump, and all sorts of outlandish targets being set (2500 yards, Peterson?)...

Calvin, the whole preseason game at San Diego is on youtube. I watched it last night, two new linebackers off freeagency Lualeilei (unmissable hawaiian hair) and Allen Bradford were everywhere, look like they will get game time this season behind Bobby Wagner, both lines of scrimmage s dominated, and Tarvaris Jackson was excellent, he looks like he has the backup qb job sewn up

I really can't see many weaknesses at all and as soon as our DEs are back we'll be even better.

It looks good at this stage. All we need now is to someone to return kicks and we're set. Have you heard Bruce Irvin is moving to outside LB?

Hopefully not a serious injury as we're completely mediocre/pish without a quality QB...
Edit: He was back on the next play after he "limped off". Doesn't sound too serious thankfully.Last edited by Sylar; 14-08-2013 at 09:06 PM.

It does make sense, we have a wealth of talent at DE and Irvin has all the tangibles that make him viable as an OLB.
Until Harvin is back, our special team returner is a mystery to me.

16-08-2013 08:07 PM #4256. Bizarre to say the least.
They're showing a repeat of the Friday night game when College Gameday should be on, from 1.45 to 4.45. That to me looks like it could change because to show a repeat of a game that they've shown live when Gameday is on is ludicrous.
Anyway, no 5pm or 8.30pm game on the opening Saturday according to digiguide.
We have...
Saturday Night
22.30 - LIVE - Alabama v Virginia Tech (in Atlanta)
02.00 - LIVE - LSU v TCU (in Arliington)
Sunday Morning
5.15 - Delay - Mississippi St v Oklahoma St (in Houston)
9.15 - Delay - Georgia at Clemson
12.15 - College Football Final (also showing at 18.00)
Monday Night/Tuesday Morning
01.00 - LIVE - Florida St at Pittsburgh
They've gone for the easier route on Sat night of just multi casting ESPN in the US showing their games which are on back to back. Arguably though the ABC game of Georgia at Clemson is the biggest of the weekend and kicks off at midnight our time. This would have been my preference but it would have meant only one live game instead of the two. And they are at least showing it on delay early on Sunday.
BT/ESPN will argue that over the weekend they are showing six live CFB games as well as 2 or 3 on delay along with daily shows and College Final, which is still good. But if they stick a repeat on when Gameday should be on, and stick with just late night games they will be accused of treating the game as a filler, rightly or wrongly.
