Picking QBs early is crazy but having missed out on the best RBss I took a chance.

You could have at least picked a decent QB then if that was your tactic

I'm worried for you this year as other than Vernon Davis, I don't see who Kaepernick throws to, given that he's lost Crabtree...

He will find someone, he is sheer class. He'll run a fair amount too. Im happy with my choice.

I've no doubt he's a quality QB but I do feel he's being overhyped because of the run to the Superbowl IMO.

I read this earlier and thought of you:

Reach: Colin Kaepernick, San Francisco 49ers. Someone is going to draft a read-option quarterback too early. One may even go off the board before the Falcons' Ryan. That would be a mistake. These new-wave quarterbacks are exciting, but they lack the elite supporting casts and have to make plays with their legs because the plays aren't there down the field. And of course, that style of play tends to increase a quarterback's injury risk. Of all the read-option passers, Kaepernick scares me the most. He's coming off a Super Bowl run, leading to huge hype and expectations. That means that as good as he is, he'll likely be overvalued in drafts. Plus, Kaepernick lost his leading receiver, Michael Crabtree, to a serious Achilles injury. Kaepernick has great potential, but he's a relatively inexperienced quarterback on a run-first team. Don't reach.

Slight concern that Colston is on the PUP list but according to Payton it's nothing serious and he just needs rest. Surprised he fell to the 5th round in all honesty!

Delighted to have landed Ryan as my QB - the Falcons are (IMO) a team capable of getting to the Big Dance this year and with the receiving corps of Gonzalez, White and Jones, I'm happy to have him on board

WR is where I'm struggling. Can't think of one yet alone 3.

Danny Amendola - Good receiver bit injury prone. But NE haven't much else to catch the ball.

The other thread is just a reference because its easier than scanning the thread for the last. Just keep making your picks here. the other thread will be updated in due course.

He's getting on a bit but reckon Steve Smith has one more year in him so I'm going; Steve Smith, WR, Panthers.

If he can stay healthy, it's a sound pick though he'll be our most recognised receiver.

The lack of Pats in my lineup shows you exactly how confident I am for the season ahead

He's got Anquan Boldin now from the Ravens. I think he'll have another big year. (Although you have to figure at least one of last seasons rookie class of Wilson Kaepernick Luck and Griffin will have a sophomore dip. Happens a lot with QBs).

its no as bad as i thought it would be.thought it would have took longer.ive got a ranking board on the nfl site so im deleting players as they're picked.its a good way to keep track of whos been drafted.the only pitfall is it doesnt show the players bye week.

I'm working from 11:30-00:00 today which is nice. I love a bit of an all dayer. I think we're seeing why I didn't think I'd be able to commit to a live draft!

Next pick for me: Jordy Nelson (WR Green Bay)
