I didn't realise we'd acquired Leon Washington. What do we think Seahawks/Jets fans - good capture?
Absolutely. I was disappointed to see him go but with Harvin doing returns now there was no need to keep someone who is essentially solely a special teamer on the roster. He'll definitely get you a couple of punts or kickoffs returned for touchdowns this year but he's getting on a bit so it's not a long term option.

He can take a kickoff back for a TD, thats for sure. Not likely to be anymore than an occasional utility back on offense though.

I see the Jets are sniffing about Chris Ivory, good running back for us and I'd be sad to see him go, but if we can get a 2nd round pick out of it then its adios from me.

Scored one of the TDs of last season when he bounced off about 4 tacklers IIRC.

Seattle picks up ex probowl CB Winfield from the Vikes. Will be our nickel back. Our secondary is looking very very good.

If I managed to get the night off I'd be in for sure. However I've got days off for a wee trip to Berlin and Copenhagen that week so I'll have to see!

Won't be back up for it sadly.

Anyone coming down for any of the Wembley games this year? Just thinking ahead...

Both Wembley games for me. Bought a club level season ticket to make sure I'd be there and I'm glad I did given that both games are a sell-out.

    I did until Monday

Finished my PhD and was offered a Research Fellowship at the University of Surrey so I'm now living in Guildford

I'm quite chuffed with our schedule on the whole. We have a very tough stretch before our bye-week (@Atlanta, @Cincinnati, vs New Orleans, @NY Jets, [vs Miami - not too worried], vs Pittsburgh) and some hard games post-Bye (@Carolina, vs Denver and @Houston) but all of our games are winnable...that's not to say I think we'll win all of our games (far too many questions surrounding us just now) but we'll have a chance in each of them for sure.

Seattles schedule looks relatively straightforward. Toughest non division games are Houston Texans and the Atlanta rematch. We also have a Monday night game at home against the Saints.

Yeah, my 6 wins was best case scenario e.g sneaking a win against a good Bucs team at home, decent shots at home against Bills, Dolphins, Raiders and Browns plus a road win or two (Possibly the Bills again, maybe the Titans) Rex is bullish about it but I see it as being extremely tough.

Notice the B1G is realigning - no more legends and leaders and no more Ohio-Michigan championship games.

It makes more sense and is a bit more respectful IMO, though the "East" is going to be much stronger than the "West" looking at the split

I enjoy watching NFL and follows the Dolphins for my sin's, but what I don't get is the playing schedule how is it decided? I noticed that we play the Bill's and Jet's home and away and selected other franchises just once and others not at all, so who decides the playing schedule ? Over to you Scott

    Maybe this will help R - http://nfllabor.files.wordpress.com/...determined.pdf

It explains it much better than I could!

The link is definitive, but basically you always play everyone in your division home and away, plus the teams from selected divisions in both conferences on a rotating basis every year.

The Dolphins have made some good acquisitions and are my dark horses for a playoff place this season. Could easily give the Patriots a battle IMO.

I'm really missing the Seahawks having a first round pick this year. The mock drafts are just no fun.

Mock drafts the other thing that I don't 'get' is the pages and pages on NFL.com dedicated to 'what if x team had drafted mr x instead of mr y in 2007'. What's the point in that

Id rather have Harvin than a first round pick

I'm torn about this. Revis is my favourite player in the league. I like that we're getting their first round pick, I don't like that I'll need to think of a new name for my fantasy team.
