Am not a 'financial 'person ' but that is how i saw it after reading the paper a few times .
All in all it is a very complicated situation which could remain in the courts for long enough before the situation is resolved .
Where would that leave any intending buyer ?

The security now being with Ukio Bankas rather than UBIG was no big deal ........ until some pesky Lith admin ruled the Bank was bust and had to close.
The best laid plans of mice and men..... etc.

There were charges on the assets for loans due. There still are. They are due to different people to what they were before December.

The Scotsman (group) seem to be more concerned with relaying the Yam Ministry announcements without question rather then pursuing the interest of their Yam readership. Same with the shennanigan's at Dunfermline.

The yams have a 25 year lease and, although there may well have been some sort of initial lump sum payment (SMG money) there are still the running costs to be met and shared with HWU.

Heriot Watt is a public university and so in theory is owned by all tax and rate payers. If HoMFC owe money to HWU, don't they by definition owe money to all of us? I think the tax payer's interests should be better protected by demanding payment now. :-)

This little beauty has appeared from one yam acquaintance on my Facebook....
Romanov will be writing off £10million on the debt and transferring ownership to the foundation of hearts leaving them a more manageable debt of £15million, there's a bbc man in Lithuania and he's expecting on announcement this week.
Heads still stuck in the sand then

This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote. Romanov has no direct control at UBIG and his shares were pledged at the same time as Tynecastle it seems, he's got about as much say on what happens at Hearts now as any other taxi driver in lithuania.

Where does this £25million figure come from? Surely it's higher than that as that was the figure banded about from accounts that are years out of date, so that alone tells you all you need to know.
As for a Beeb man in Lithuania, I'm sure Banderson will be on the next flight over to catch the scoop
