If they get as much of a helping hand off the pitch as they do on it, then I just can't see it ever happening.

I really hate that club and what they got away with today really just reinforces that, for all their cheating, overspending and the rest they still seem tae get away with murder. The sooner the are deid the better.

Hopefully they are limping along, trying desperately to survive until the cup final. Once they are beaten in the final, they'll start to unravel.
I'm sure if they had secured top 6, then they would have taken admin/points hit. Now that option is practically impossible!

That's a huge "ask" by any standards, even with half the referees giving them a helping hand.

To make the top six they need all of the following to happen:
To win their remaining two games
Hibs to lose all their remaining three games
The goal difference swing to be more than 11 (that's possible since Hibs losing would worsen our goal difference)
Killie to get no more than two points fron their remaining three games
Aberdeen and United to draw when they play each other and then lose all their remaining games.

They need 8 - maybe 9. Maybe less. If we lose 3, which we'd have to by at least one goal each time, that's a gd of 8 to overcome.
And we lost 3 by 2 goals each, very possible, they only need to up their gd by 5 or 6 ... depending on how many goals are being scored.Last edited by clerriehibs; 11-03-2013 at 12:36 PM.

Well, they won't be in the top six. This seems to be informing the attitude of the Yams, who seem surprisingly downcast after getting that disgusting freebie. They really needed a win, and their failure to get one and make the top six is another nail in their coffin. That's why I couldn't get too upset about the goal 'decision'.
In the grand picture, we actually did a decent bit of damage yesterday. A defeat would have been a disaster and given them strong momentum for a top six finish and a relatively inconsequential administration. A win would have been nice, as it would have led to extreme blood-letting down Gorgie way. But a draw is a bit of a head-mess for them.

I see they still haven't sold out their 25K cup final tickets, compare to 30K Hibbies v Killie and 40K v Livi. Poor show from the super enormously massive big team with the best crop of youngsters in the history of world football.

They all assume they are getting bought by some Scandinavian, Norwegian, Swedish, Russian, Scottish, Portuguese (take your pick) consortium. They don't know who they are, what the deal is, how much investment will be made, who will own the ground etc
What they do know is that all of the debt will be written off and they will start with a debt free situation in the summer. They also know that the new owners, despite likely to be unknown foreigners are lining up a big name Scottish manager like Levein (chortle)
This will all be announced on Thursday or Friday this week, eliminating any threat to them for ever more and a major boost in advance of the cup final.
