I'm definitely giving College Football a proper look this year, especially since my beloved Big East seems to have been decimated due to it!

Delighted to see we (NE) have secured both Hernandez and Gronkowski to long term deals this week - I believe we have easily the best TEs in the NFL and to have the security of them being there on long contracts is good for the future.
We've also released Gaffney and Stallworth, the first of which comes as a bit of a surprise after a very impressive year with Washington last season.
Clearly we're continuing to turn over our roster and it's great to see so many young players coming through and stepping up. Something not a lot of other NFL teams do with the success we've seen in recent years.
However, I would like to see us secure a prospect QB in one of the drafts in the next few years, giving Brady enough time to develop them into a fine replacement for when he retires.Madness, as you know, is a lot like gravity. All it takes is a little push.

Is Welker going to the Colts or is that just a load of P? I've heard it could be on the cards but can't believe it.

End of this season and it wouldn't surprise me if the Patriots traded him for a first round draft pick.Madness, as you know, is a lot like gravity. All it takes is a little push.

Can't believe another team was willing to take him - guess Smith has been just as big a headache for the Rams. Hopefully he can be the next Maybin for us. Oh and now we have the 2nd, 5th, 11th picks from that 2009 draft.

Here we go!
The NCAA 2012 season for the University of Connecticut Huskies gets underway in half an hour against Massachusetts
Going to watch the #9 ranked South Carolina against Vanderbilt in the half hour leading up to that though.Madness, as you know, is a lot like gravity. All it takes is a little push.

Having been up since 6am yesterday, I knew I'd crumble but glad I got to see the first Huskies TD of the year, up 7-0 on UMass. Will catch the rest of the game in the morning.
Zzzz...Madness, as you know, is a lot like gravity. All it takes is a little push.

Brilliant start Huskies!
UConn 37-0 UMass
UMass aren't a brilliant team, but you can only beat who's in front of you and it happened comfortably! Not sure what I make of the constant QB rotation mind you...it's either genius or stupid.Madness, as you know, is a lot like gravity. All it takes is a little push.

Day 1: NCAA Scores
#9 South Carolina 17-13 Vanderbilt
UConn 37-0 UMass
I doubt the rest will be of interest
Final games of the NFL pre-season last night too (some over the course of the week...) and not many of us on here can have much cause to feel great if we take the pre-season scores seriously. Personally, I'm not overly concerned, as we've rested most of our starters more often than not, which is probably the case for most, though I do know a lot of teams have run at least one full game with their entire starting roster. That's not something we've done, which is both encouraging and worrying, as we've not been blown away by anyone but by the same token, we've not had a full game together yet.
New England 3-6 NY Giants
Tampa Bay 3-30 Washington
Miami 13-30 Dallas
Atlanta 14-24 Jacksonville
NY Jets 10-28 Philadelphia
Buffalo 32-38 Detroit
Kansas City 3-24 Green Bay
New Orleans 6-10 Tennessee
Cincinnati 16-20 Indianapolis
Baltimore 17-31 St Louis
Carolina 16-17 Pittsburgh
Minnesota 24-28 Houston
Chicago 28-20 Cleveland
San Diego 3-35 San Francisco*
Oakland 3-21 Seattle
Denver 16-13 Arizona
*I am heartened by my decision to take the San Francisco defense for my fantasy side as they've consistently looked solid in pre-season, keeping scores against lowMadness, as you know, is a lot like gravity. All it takes is a little push.

Not really been focused on pre-season. What's happening with the strike? Are the games being refereed by NFL officials or NCAA. Should be interesting first couple of weeks once the season starts.
