In the interests of fairness, I'm happy enough to do that. I agree with you both that the first pick should go to those who were further down the draft list and although it's ended up being somewhat amusing, I'm happy to be fair
Appreciate the gesture but as you said it's not your fault. I'd keep him if I was you I'm feeling good about my running backs.

I'm happy to do whatever, I just want to clarify what the approach should be. 49% of me really didn't want to give him up because of his potential....but I don't want him back because I am so weak in that position that I can't afford a passenger (if that's what he turns out to be). Even if he is "ready", how ready will he be? Will other players in the league not know about his injury and potentially target that side when tackling him? So many things I don't totally understand. One thing is for sure, joining this league is going to make me learn more about NFL and take more notice of ALL the games.

Question about the bench and team selection - do you pick your team for a game and that's it? If a player is injured is there a concept of a substitute or is it tough ****? I would think subs would be tough to manage.
You should be able to edit your line up right up until your players' game starts. If they are injured during a game you're unfortunately stuck with them for that week's match up.
