Was a RB for Florida, so it's not like a sporting conversion or any such. He participated in both sprinting and football and had a decent career as a RB for the Gators.
Madness, as you know, is a lot like gravity. All it takes is a little push.

    More pre-season results:

    Cincinnati 24-19 Atlanta
    Cleveland 35-10 Green Bay
Tennessee 30-7 Tamp Bay (2 TDs for my fantasy RB - good sign )
    Buffalo 14-36 Minnesota
    Jacksonville 27-24 New Orleans
Miami 17-23 Carolina (good outing for Cam Newton)
Detroit 27-12 Baltimore (very impressive game for both Stafford and Megatron)
    Oakland 27-31 Arizona
    NY Giants 26-3 NY Jets
    Washington 31-33 Chicago
    Kansas City 17-31 St Louis
San Francisco 9-20 Houston (bad defensively for San Fran, but nice to see Moss getting some game time and connecting well with Smith).
    Seattle 30-10 Denver
    Dallas 20-28 San Diego
Madness, as you know, is a lot like gravity. All it takes is a little push.

Look at that there jessies score... The whole "get teballs to the red zone" plan worked a treat huh...

Either that or my choice of fantasy defense is looking great...

They're still trying to rebuild their offense and by all accounts, they had a lot of players missing through injury yesterday.

Hard to determine anything at this stage - apparently Sanchez looked very comfortable passing the ball for the brief spell that he was in the game.

Seattle seem to be racking up the points without playing especially well which I'm very happy with. Also, three first half turnovers by us - I'll be happy if this keeps up as they're my fantasy defense!

This rookie QB Russel Wilson sounds like hes a player too. Terrell Owens had FIVE dropped balls I think we're seeing why he got cut from an indoor league team last season.

Is that Russel Wilson from Wisconsin, previously of NC State? If it is, he is decent.

He was badly let down by Wayne Hunter (AGAIN!) Tebow had a shocker though.

He was great for NC State (my college team), glad he went pro. He had a ridiculous play in a bowl game a few years back, reckon it is the longest a QB has ever held a ball, dodged tackles and still got a touchdown.

He's having a heck of a preseason. We're trading away our incumbent qb tavaris jackson because wilsons surprised everyone. Is threatening our big money free agent Matt Flynn as starter.

Good to see! Bit of competition for the starter position is always good.

There's been a wealth of talent has come through the college system in very recent years.

Here's hoping it continues - can't wait to see if Denard goes professional, and if so where/what position he ends up playing.

I was surprised when we used a third round pick on a QB given that Matt Flynn had just been signed, clearly as a starter and with Tarvaris Jackson still apparently going to be the number 2 but it's clear to see why now. Even Josh Portis has shown a bit of potential in his limited game time. As such, I'll be glad to see the back of Tarvaris.

Flynn would have had better stats last night if TO could catch a ball. Maybe he'll get the hang of it over the next two matches.

No broken ribs apparently - seen the highlights on Sportcenter this morning though - what a hit!

    Philadelphia 27-17 New England

Almost unrecognisable team for us according to ESPN.

Cannot wait for next weekend - don't expect us to do anything against the Crimson Tide defense, but it will be a good test as to how we've progressed from last year.

Surely the Bama defense will have lost some guys in the draft? At least they arent that good on Offense (From what i saw last season anyway).

Having said that, it really all starts next Thursday (for me anyway) as the Huskies host Massachusetts on Thursday night

There were a few pre-season NFL games again last night:

    Green Bay 27-13 Cincinnati
    Jacksonville 17-48 Baltimore
    Arizona 27-32 Tennessee

They have, but the recruiting at Alabama means they'll undoubtedly replace NFL players with NFL prospects. Having Saban at their helm also helps.

Offensively, they're not brilliant and defensively, we're not really in the same class as them (even with their new faces).

I reckon it might be close for a while, but I'd fancy Alabama to win it for sure.

Giving us all the more motivation to strive ahead and try and win the Big Ten

An occasionally amusing and accurate Seattle pre-season analysis here...
