It looks like the manager wants to bring in Maybury to the club, but at this moment in time i just don't think the funds are there to sign him, i think it is as simple as that, if we can off load a player then it free's up a wage that could be offered to Maybury, folk who are saying we need at least 4 more players in the team(yes they are right) it is not going to happen, where does the money come from, our owner has said he won't be putting in any more money in to the team unless things get really bad(avoiding relegation just there i thought was really bad) but obviously not bad enough, we don't have any players that we can sell that will bring in a big fee that may help the manager strengthen the squad, it looks like that a few of the young ones will get a chance when the season starts and i don't have a problem with that if they are good enough, but i have a worry about the young lads too, first few games are not easy for us and i don't want the younger lads having there confidence dented so early in to the season if we don't do well in our first few games, that is the worry for me.

So yeah we could see another player come in and it will more than likely be Maybury, but only if the manager can move a player on, if that happens then that will be our lot for the season. imo.

I may wrong here but are we not still under the current Sky tv deal that still has 1 year to left? The new improved deal was due to kick in this season, however due to the cheating huns, the new deal has not been signed and by all accounts the SPL are trying to negotiate a new deal without OF games.

So, are we not under the same financial constraints as we were for the start of last season and the season before and the season before that? More than a whole team has been freed with only 5 new faces, inc McPake and Griffiths being brought in, Hibs must have some funds available?? Granted I accept that there is the loss of 1 or 2 (dependent on top or bottom 6) OF away gates, however does the loss 8000 odd tickets make us skint?

If ever there was a time to push the boat out a little and get in 4 decent signings that could improve our chances of winning games, now is the time to do it!
