    I hate all this nonsense where people are looking to profit from every date in the calander. St. Patricks day is now fair game as we don't need much of an excuse to get rat-ersed in Scotland. I think it's only going to get worse where you're going to be made to feel guilty if you don't buy whiskey on St.Andrews day or buy beer to celebrate St.Georges day.
    Valentines, Easter, Haloween etc...never used to mean much in the way of gifts even ten years ago and it was all about non-material gestures.
    Nowadays it's as if they're trying to make you feel like an inconsiderate loser with a small tadge if you don't buy your other half a bunch of flowers and I-pad 2 to celebrate the changing of the clocks.
    Godparents day is the best one I've heard so far.
