Sacked by Hearts.

Gutted
Gutted. My favourite Hearts manager in a while.
Really disappointed at that.
Hopefully their AI recruitment app comes up with another beauty like Critch for next season
Now that is a shame
Aw naw he was a diamond geezer.
Levein incoming

Hopefully Levein back in till the end of the season.
Boooooo
All big teams introduce instability when looking at the possibility of ending up in a play off position if things don't improve.
Give Liam Fox the gig permanently imo
I wonder if we will hear about Hearts being the Watford of Scotland after sacking 2 managers in one season like certain media outlets and pundits like to aim at Hibs last season.

Shame. He was doing such a great job…
Gutted but optimistic that the data algorithm will dig up someone equally as hopeless
So long Neil, we hardly knew ye
Levein is currently in the changing rooms in the Hearts shop apparently [emoji50][emoji1787]

Computer said no, well yes, no other candidate required as he was outstanding.
In their golf guy with his Stylophone we trust.

Wouldn’t surprise me if they go for Robinson this time
very poor from heart of middle lothian
give the man a chance
All I can do is sincerely thank Neil for his great work and echo the great sense of loss I think we all feel at his departure. I hope he lands a top job in Scottish football, maybe at Ibrox.
They'll be hard pushed to find a worse manager.
Hopefully they'll mange it.
Should have stuck with Naismith. I don't think their chief executive has a clue.
Trust the “data”.
Radge statement earlier in the week. Sacking today. They're in max panic mode.
Deflect deflect, sounds like their problems lie at more than just manager level.
Sure their fan owner committee men will sort it all out though

Distinct lack of gratitude when you consider he was taking Hearts where they belong.
Strange decision when they can still win the bottom six championship. Of course I don't know what big teams do with their algorithms these days.
He was never surviving 2 derby defeats was only a matter of time.
I think they’ll go down a Robinson or mcinnes route now.
Definitely
Sad news .. my 2nd favourite hertz manager 😢
Bit harsh on the guy
Don’t be surprised if Shelley Kerr is interim appt. Budge has been keen to get her chum more involved and wants to be an innovator in the men’s game.
****ing gutted
An interim management team with four games to go is not going to stabilise them. In a fan controlled club there has to be a transparent decision making period that involves all the stakeholders so they're not going to appoint a permanent boss until next season. If the management have tapped someone up behind the scenes the fan owners will have been left in the dark. So I can't see how this helps create a sense of purpose between the owners and management (football and commercial)
Of course but there fan directors on the board presumably with significant voting rights who will by law have to have the same rights as the non fan directors. If fan ownership is to mean anything then fans need to have a majority of votes on the board. Do Hearts fans (who claim to have the majority of the shares) not have the majority of votes on the board and executive decision making?
This’ll give Jamestown pick of the manager and players. They better hope they get it right.
Don’t think there’s many singing praises of their new players
Sickner
Absolutely gutted. Was doing a great job. Proper Cathro vibes.
This has made a bad day worse.
Disappointed
Are The Owners actually shareholders in the club?
It’s a shame he wasn’t given time to build a squad to get them out of the Championship in a few seasons.
Was rather hoping for a Butcheresque drop into the playoff place. Does this make it more or less likely?
Disappointing. But it doesn't change the fact Hearts go up to Ross County next, and only 5pts clear of them in 11th.
Panic has set in at the pub team.
Canny wait for them to lose in Dingwall next week too… 💩💩💩
All eyes on County. Don't think they've a chance of making up the difference though. At worst (for them), hearts will draw up there next week and that's it.
Gary Locke, Ian Black and Medals MacKay toml take over til the playoffs final 😁
Can we set up a go fund me to raise money to put a load of bets on Martindale to get the job ?
Who knows, if we can get him installed as favourite for the job then Ann might decide there must be a good reason and actually hire him. Worst case, we keep him in the running and keep their fans *****!ng themselves at the prospect for a few weeks.
they'll maybe offer "the gobber" the job for the remainder
he does have that heartz "class"
“Computer says Go”
I have the same feeling I had when Cathro was emptied. This can only be bad news for Hibs.
Hibs beaten, Villa beaten and Critchley sacked. Not a Carlsberg weekend then.
[QUOTE=we are hibs;7946159]Give Liam Fox the gig permanently imo

Can't wait to hear these pressing questions from Brian mclaughlin
I thought they were top of the Critchley league
I understand they’ve missed out on top 6 so that means they’ve had a ***** season, but they were bottom when they appointed this guy, and now they’re 7th.
Can’t deny he’s improved them. Do they think the next guy is going to wave a magic wand and make everything great?
If I were them, I would go for McInnes. They have made some strange managerial appointments for years now.
That’s a shame. Thought Crotchley was doing an excellent job.
Would McInnes want to work under their current Jambosdown Analytics model? I thought he was more of a manager that would want to bring in his own players rather than use a data driven model. They'd be admitting that model was a failure and effectively be sticking up 2 fingers to Bloom and his investment. Not sure if Robinson would be similar.
I reckon they pretty much have to stick with the analytics to find the next guy otherwise the board will look very stupid. If what I heard was right it came up with 8 names last time and only 2 of them were interested in a discussion, Critchley and Hogmo. McKinley foolishly leaked that Hogmo was their man and Hogmo then told them to get stuffed so they had nowhere else to go except for Critchley.
It could be fun seeing what happens. How many new names is the super computer likely to churn out this time? Best thing about it is it'll be Budge that'll be choosing (using her influence over enough other board members to have the majority of votes).
They're actually 8th, just 3 points above 10th.
I don't honestly think he's done any better than Naismith would have if they'd stuck with him.
They'd just handed Naismith a new contract. Sacking Critchley just months later must leave them with some hefty pay-offs.
Unless the analysis comes up with the obvious choice,SDG,it’s proof that it’s just an expensive gimmick.:greengrin
There is some speculation they may be upwards of £10m in debt, loading up loans to Budge given current unsustainable costs and several projects like the new hotel which is losing a lot of money.
They appear to be miles away from removing “Queen Anne” than ever before.
Keep the direct debits coming in peasants, it’s not your club despite what you were told.
Real shame ( not a Spanish football team :greengrin ) definitely one of my favourite ever Hearts managers.
It will be interesting to see what they come up with for next season ..... hopefully more of the same :greengrin
All jokes aside, I don't think there are many managers out there who could have done any better with their current squad. The only player in their club I think would get into our squad is Penrice.
Managers are not giving enough time. The human egg gets them a strong finish, has a rough start to this season and is sacked. They then bring in Critchley and sack him months later because they haven't recruited well. Wasn't so long ago he put a decent string of results together. Hopefully this latest knee jerk reaction and Liam Fox takes them to the playoffs.
Thats devastating
He’d have took them down, hopefully whoever they get to take over (Gordon short term) keeps the legacy going
Should have stuck with Naismith.
I wonder how much it will cost to sack him? The only thing the Fartz have been good at over the past few years, is wasting money on Olympic levels lol
Sorry he’s gone though had a right laugh when I heard he was in remembering Mikey Stewart when watching one of their games he was commentating on where he was boasting , slavering about a clear ‘ Identity ‘ he saw in the way Critchley had them playing … wonder what he will say now ? :faf:
