John Beaton with Nick Walsh on var.
Could be ok tomorrow.
Not playing Rangers, Porto has moved on and they won’t see us as a threat to them being in top 2 positions in the league. Any dodgy decisions will be incompetence rather than out and out cheating.
I take it they will communicate with each other starting with Hello Hello is that the billy boy!
So one with the apron and the other one in the room alone with the goat?
VAR Scotland style.

Hopefully this is the last time they are paired together ... Have a horrible feeling the duo will be rolled out for the final if Hibs and The Rangers are featuring.
I never really bother who is refereeing, most are poor so you know you are going to get bad decisions every game.
In theory VAR should stop the terrible ones.
Have you ever read any posts proclaiming delight at a refereeing appointment?
They’re basically all pretty hopeless. Probably a consequence of not having total freedom to referee games as they see it in a “referees interpretation is final” environment. VAR is supposedly to assist officials to get decisions right, but it has actually put the referees and officials under more pressure than before VAR it’s made performances worse under more intense scrutiny.
These two should be nowhere near a Hibs game EVER !. Two Huns who probably have a total dislike for Hibs. SFA at it again and just shows how corrupt the game is!.
I'd hardly call them NORMAL referee's when everyone knows Walsh has an affillation with Sevco thru his work , Beaton has been caught drinking with them in a Hun pub after an old firm game as well . If you look back at the decisions both have been involved with in our games we have rarely seen them going our way if at all . Both are out in out Huns imo and shouldn't be near Hibs games .
Personally I wouldn't give them any though St Johnstone v Livingston would probably be the best pick or put both refereeing in the championship. I know the standard of refereeing isn't great in Scottish football but it's more than just being poor in Beaton and Walsh case . Having ones bad enough but two is really taking the p*** .
The word 'best' doesn't really come into it when it comes to our refs, the most you can hope for with any of them is that they rise above the normal level of incompetence.
Our refs are drawn from a tiny geographical area in a closed shop that practically precludes anybody east of Motherwell from becoming a grade one ref ... the results of that are there for all to see. You would think never getting a ref picked to officiate at major international tournaments, when countries of a similar size do all the time, would have rung alarm bells by now. It's not just the fans who think our refs are rubbish, UEFA and FIFA do as well.
We're playing Dundee. What does it matter who the ref is or where he is from?
That's the worst combination we could ask for, 2 total Huns that don't even try and hide it.
In the space of a few days, Walsh denied St Mirren a 2nd v Hearts with a shocking decision and followed that abomination on Wednesday by refusing to ask Collum to review The Rangers 1st goal v Livingston.
Beaton showed his ‘true-blue’ colours by corruptly allowing Rangers’ late equaliser v Albion Rovers in the Scottish Cup back in ‘14, still one of the worst decisions I’ve ever seen…

Exactly, the minute the players start to flap over who the referee is we are onto a loser.
Fans on here were getting their knickers in a twist because Craig Thomson reffed our cup game at Tynecastle in February 7th 2016. After the match he didn't even get a mention.
If the players do their job properly tomorrow then we will probably win, it's down to them and not the referee or who is on VAR.
Pro-Hibs refs would be better :greengrin
All very well and good saying it doesn't matter who the ref is but if they don't give - what looked a good shout - a pen for Youan and a second yellow for Bakoyoko for a kick on Miller then it does ultimately make a difference when an opposition defends well.
Summer press release from the SFA:
SFA head of referees operations Crawford Allan has announced a rejig of the VAR set up on the eve of the new season with Andrew Dallas and Greg Aitken becoming full time video refs. But Allan also revealed fans should get ready for games smashing through the 100-minute barrier as part of a global move to increase in-play time.
Refs are definitely biased in this country, there’s plenty evidence to back it up, from penalty stats to bookings per foul etc right through to things like time added on, pulling back play for innocuous challenges(Motherwell at Rangers) or ignoring fouls to let play go (Rangers v Livi), or VAR choosing to take the "easy option", and referees openly admitting to making sure decisions didn't go a certain way - evidenced in the after-dinner speaker circuit, or Levein recalling a referee telling him outright that his team will get nothing from him.
Even down to our player getting a yellow card in a game that, if it happened in an Old Firm game, the ref would keep his cards in his pocket... So down the line we get a suspension that they don't, or some referees never getting Rangers or Celtic games to referee but they're fine to make the mistakes with us.
It's blatant. VAR had only shone a light on how blatant it is, it hasn't deterred them, they're still completely unaccountable for it and we still have to just suck it up.
