Despite it being mentioned every summer I don't think a new contract or a new player has ever been announced alongside
a new kit.

Is that actually a word? It's not the same as forgetting or mistaken. If you misremember, you must have remembered something, but not the right thing. I will be using it for sure next time the missus comes home and I haven't done the expected chores. "Ah, sorry. I misremembered."
An even better word is "conflated" where you mix up and combine two different peices of information. You might have seen the launch of a new kit and then a week later seen Jame McPake announced wearing the new strip. a year or two later, you remember it as one event - James McPake being announced at the same time as the new kit. You conflated the two events. I don't know how that helps you with not doing the dishes :greengrin

Reading between the lines here it’s pretty obvious they’re using the home and away link to announce Jackson Irvine with the new away strip.

The most shocking thing about that article is a "journalist" using "would of".
How we going to keep Kevin Nisbet down at ER now that he’s mixed with the loads of money rich kids from the English Premiership.
That was nice of Lennon sharing that.
Did he say anything about why he couldn’t motivate their best striker to come in and perform to the best of his abilities or why Griffiths felt it easier to stay away?
Anything about his mental state that lead to him being so out of condition and apparently uninterested?
Always 3 sides to every story, poor of Lennon to come out in public with that kind of thing IMO.
I agree. Even though he may be telling the truth he shouldn't be "talking out of school" - I'm sure plenty people could dish the dirt on NL.
I also wondered why Lennon didn't manage it better. Did he call or go to see Griffiths.
The Hibs players all say that Jack Ross talks to them individually all the time - doesn't look like Lennon does the same.
Lennon comes across as a bitter man, trying to scupper the possibility of a new contract for Leigh at a time when he's discussing his future with a new manager. Even if the new boss decides to give Leigh a go plenty of the support will have decided on the back of Lennon's comments that he's this season's boo boy.
So to round up, there is no Hibs transfer news.
