I read one quote from a fan stated "Has Shankland's goals over the last few season been hiding just how bad we are, even though we came 3rd twice?" I'd say Shankland's goals and Gordon's saves have masked how poor Hearts were in recent seasons, despite their 3rd, 4th, 3rd placings. When I watch them, I generally feel I'm watching a relatively poor side. They might score some good goals, but I never think that they are a good side outplaying the opposition.
Am I being harsh in my assessment.

I think what Sked has described there is very similar to what we’ve turned into this season. Quality delivery into the box, physicality throughout the team, one or two in midfield that can play in amongst the battle. Dundee United are kind of similar I think.
