Really good viewing, older French women have something about them: Visage.

I never particularly liked it and never seen the hype behind it. The story does pick up in the later seasons but It was a real chore to get there I felt.
Having said that, I'm the same with Game of Thrones - do not get the hype at all. It's cliche-ridden fantasy, written by a writer who can't handle character development beyond a point (hence why he kills so many people off - he keeps writing himself into corners!).
I've just started watching Boardwalk Empire (again, another "behind the times" viewing) and I've enjoyed it so far. Very high-production quality.
Been a huge fan of Arrow and Flash since the beginning but I too felt that Arrow lost its way somewhere along the line. I was still enjoying Flash but ended up getting sidetracked from watching it. On the note of comic-based series', my wife and I are half-way through Jessica Jones. It's alright but just seems to bumble along. There are only three really likeable characters in it for me, which means I struggle to sustain interest.
Finally, patch, I tried to watch 100 Code and got about 25 minutes into it. Wasn't for me - simply couldn't take Dominic Monaghan seriously with that American accent, which melted quickly into British whenever there was action combined with dialogue!
Finished S2 of Tyrant last week.
Really enjoyed that.
Never heard of Boardwalk Empire, gets really good reviews though, definately going to give that a try.
Never watched Arrow but did however watch the Flash, felt i was missing bits because I never got the full story.
That and the fact that they seem to be milking the franchise to death by adding another show (Legends of Tomorrow) i decided to stop watching it.
Legends of Tomorrow first episode was average I thought. Felt like Arrow meets Doctor Who didn't draw me in too much.
I liked Jessica Jones, wasnt nearly as good as Daredevil but it was a very different kind of show.
The biggest problem i had with it was i liked Kilgrave far far more than i liked Jessica and Luke Cage was ace in all the scene's he was in meaning the main hero wasn't even the best or most interesting character in her own show.
I think they went too far with the b**tchy attitude she has and i ended up having no sympathy for her despite them trying to show she was suffering from PTSD.
On the plus side Daredevil season 2 is coming in a couple of months and Jon Berenthal is going to kill it as the punisher
Just started watching Occupied on SKY Arts, another sub-titled show with a bit of potential.
Now that we are a few episodes further in I can't recommend the 2 subtitled shows I've mentioned on the last page or two highly enough, both outstanding.
Just recently finished Daredevil - took me two efforts as I didn't appreciate the first time around just how dark it would be...I'm usually really comfortable with on-screen violence (my wife calls me Dexter!) but that one scene in episode 4 (I think?) had me wincing...
That's the problem with it for me too - I don't think they've quite got the right balance that the comics give you. Looking forward to Luke's series when it arrives but JJ, whilst watchable, hasn't blown me away.
Bones
The Blacklist
Modern Family
I quite enjoyed the first episode of X-Files.
Think Ive mentioned it before, but The Good Wife is back on. Sure it's in its 7th season and it's never dipped and still has huge U.S. Ratings.
Is anyone watching 100 code? I'm 3 episodes in - seems decent but just wondering if it's worth sticking with?
Just started watching the sopranos.
Only on episode 6 of season one but living it already.
the walking dead last night was fantastic! one of the best episodes for a long time imo...:top marks
Looking for something new and started watching 'Crossing Lines' last night on US Netflix. Donald Sutherland, Tom Wlas****a (sp) and a fair few other faces I recognise.
Imagine a Criminal Minds type show based on cross border policing in Europe. Pretty decent watch
Quite enjoyed Crossing Lines.
I watched the first episode of 11.22.63, once you get past the odd concept, it's really good.
A guy (James Franco) goes back in time to try and stop the assassination of JFK. There's only been one episode so far. I'm looking forward to the next one, might be tonight I think.
'Vinyl' on Sky Atlantic looks like it could be pretty good, one episode so far and I enjoyed it. Episode number 2 on tonight.
It's directed by Martin Scorsese.
I'm sure I read a book years ago based on that concept - not sure if it's the basis for the TV series though as the name doesn't ring a bell.
It stuck in my mind as it also explored the concept of what may have happened in the world had JFK completed two terms...a concept also explored in an episode of Red Dwarf! :greengrin
Trapped on BBC4 has been excellent so far, 4 episodes in. Double bills on a saturday night. Another subtitle job, set in Iceland but starring Theis Birk Larsen from the Killing, as the captain of the ferry.
Watching The Shannara Chronicles on 5*. I read These books by Terry Brooks when I was younger and they were fantastic... I'm soooooooo hoping they don't **** this up!! I'm 25 mins into the first episode and I'm really not that hopeful. Please let it get better.
Stag. Only 3 episodes but the first one was good.
Started watching some of the old 'curb your enthusiasm' episodes. Very funny improvised comedy series from the guy who made Seinfeld. Well worth a watch.
Full 4th season of House of Cards now available on Netflix.
Nearly finished Luther and have to say its outstanding ! I believe series 4 only has 2 episodes though ? Clever clever Detective.
love on netflix is pretty funny. Lassie in its quite tidy as well. Watched most of the first series over the last few days
Anyone watchin Limitless ? Ive got it on the planner and no watched it yet
The more I watch Gotham the more it grows on me (I know its silly), the boy that plays Penguin is excellent, interesting to see Michelle Gomez make an appearance on Monday too.
I dinnae think Penguin has ever been a boxer.
The last episode of Happy Valley last night,:boo hoo:was brilliant. A platinum performance from Sarah Lancashire.
Anyone been watching John Le Carre's 'The Night Manager'? It's up to episode 5 but there's still time to catch all four on Iplayer. Great cast of Tim Hiddleston, Hugh Laurie, Olivia Colman and Tom Hollander. Very watchable and not quite as complicated as some Le Carre stuff.
2 episodes into S2 of Daredevil already.
I love this show!
Daredevil is excellent, only seen the first episode of season 2 and it's certainly a step up from season 1 already and that was great! Looking forward to watching the rest of it
Line of Duty (S3) is back on BBC2 next week.
Just watched episode 4.......wow!
Berenthal is incredible
Wayward pines season 2 is out on Fox May 25th i think.
The Leftovers WILL be getting a 3rd series but we don't know when!
New series called 'The five' Starting on April 15th Sky 1..The plot is from an Author called Harlan Coben and i read every single one of his books and are outstanding so i'm looking forward to this series.
Into series 6 of the Sopranos. Loving it .
Going to move onto the walking dead when I'm finished.
I'm a bit behind the times , I know.
I've just finished watching Trapped, the 10 episode Icelandic thriller on BBC 4-truly excellent. It was quite restrained compared to many Scandi dramas where the body count seems to go up every episode and the acting was excellent. The landscapes were outstanding
Watched Follow the Money the newest Danish offering on 4. A bit undecided-wooden plot at times but the lead actress is very easy on the eyes-love the beauty spots.
Finished season 2 of Daredevil last night.
It started to lose its way a little towards the end but finished strongly and the first 8 or 9 episodes are absolutely outstanding.
The punisher is brutal and my favourite character in the show, no question he will get his own spin-off series and Berenthal absolutely nails the character.
They are also clearly building up the "hand" and the mystical side of things in preparation for Iron Fist.
Overall a solid 9/10 for the series. Luke Cage up next in September
Is anyone else still persevering with The 100? What the hell is that show all about? I wish it would hurry up and finish but, I feel the need to keep watching it!
No, The 100, AFAICR its on E4.
Loving Daredevil, only on episode 6
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh the ending off the walking dead the other night:paranoid::shocked:
Finished Sopranos and just started watching Sons of Anarchy.
Seems alright so far. Only on episode 2 though.
Finished Season 3 of Black Sails last night and it has affirmed it's position as possibly the best TV series I have ever watched. Storyline, script, characterisation, plot twists, brilliant acting...it literally has it all in my book.
Stick with Sons of Anarchy SG - it's a spectacular show (though it does get more and more graphic as it progresses).
Maybe not the most 'manly' of things to be watching, but my wife and I watched the whole series of 'Love' on Netflix last week. Quite easy viewing if you know what I mean. Co-created/produced/written by Judd Apatow of Superbad, Knocked Up, etc. fame.
Now onto season 1 of 'The Good Wife'
All telly is crap - end of.
There's a new series called Colony starting this week on living or one of those channels. American thing, same creators as Lost.
Saw the trailer for it and decided to try and download some. Well glad I did, already 4 episodes in today (was meant to be 'working from home'). Starts properly tomorrow night, set the planner!!
Set the Tivo for that earlier in the week, 11/22/63 starts on FOX on Sunday too.
Finished the 3rd series of Vikings earlier this week, top quality as usual.
Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh the Walking dead is finished till October i wan't to ken !!:shocked::paranoid:
I just finished watching Deutschland 83. It was on c4 and in German with subtitles. Good story. Messy ending but a lot of the quality was lost in the subtitles. I speak pretty good German and i picked up loads of errors. That said well worth watching.
