Stendel could well be away before Levein. The latest manager getting booted out of the club before the previous one leaving might be a world's 1st. They'd love that, we all know how much they like to boast about a "biggest", a "best" or a "first".

Derek Adams rumour true then
Morecambe, or the famous big team with all the historical stigma, the sacked ex manager still hanging around like a bad smell and every other abysmal failure who he signed?
Morecambe it is, wherever they are and wherever they're heading.

AUSTIN MacPHEE says Aaron Hickey reminds him of Jonny Evans — but thinks he can become Hearts’ answer to Sergio Busquets.
MacPhee believes the Jambos don’t have to worry about a ready-made replacement if John Souttar ever leaves.

MacPhee worked closely with teenage left-back Hickey, 17, and Scotland stopper Souttar, 23, during his time as Tynecastle assistant and caretaker boss.
Souttar has been crocked for much of the season but once he’s fit again MacPhee is sure he’ll play at European football’s top table.
But MacPhee thinks that Hickey — himself a target for clubs like Manchester City — is already showing signs he can step into that central role.
MacPhee, who has moved to a behind-the-scenes role since Daniel Stendel became the new manager, said: “The remarkable thing about Arron is most young players are raved about because they come into a team doing really well.

“That gives them confidence.
“Very rarely does a young player come into a team that isn’t over-performing and stay in. That’s because naturally you change things because the team isn’t winning.
“If I’d seen him being affected I’d have taken him out but I didn’t. He has incredible resilience for a young guy. He’s different in that respect.
“I don’t think he’s too affected by the outside world. There have been games where it hasn’t gone perfectly.
“In the first half against Rangers at Tynecastle they played on him and he made a couple of small mistakes.
“But second-half he was brilliant. I have seen that in a few games. That tells you a lot about his character — he’s seen it as a motivation, not a reason to shy away from the game.
“He’s so young he could play a lot of positions. He could end up being like Busquets.
“Right now he reminds me of Jonny Evans, who I’ve seen in training with Northern Ireland. It’s the way he defends, moves and always wants the ball as a defender.

“Jonny spent some of his career at left-back, centre-back and defensive midfield.
“It will be interesting to see where Aaron ends up but he’s a young player I would hang my hat on. He’s tall enough to play at centre-back too.
“Look at Pep Guardiola — he made Fernandinho a centre-back at Man City, he made Joshua Kimmich, who’s 5ft 9, a centre-back at Bayern Munich and he made Javier Mascherano a centre-back at Barcelona.
“These teams play their football on the halfway line. Your responsibility as a centre-back is to deal with five counter-attacks and play passes.
“That’s why I think that if John Souttar was to leave Hearts Aaron could skip a couple of levels.”
SunSport revealed this week that Stendel has told skipper Christophe Berra he can find a new club.
Souttar is closing in on a comeback after the winter break but MacPhee thinks it won’t be long till he lands a move to a bigger league.
He said: “I think John has the capacity in the modern game to go right to the top because of what that player needs to do.

“A lot of managers now look at the centre-back and their range of passing is the first thing they examine. John has a world-class range of passing.
“I can show evidence of that. If you go to the best teams, that’s your job.
“You have the ball 70 per cent of the time. When John returns a lot of clubs will be looking at that.
“It’s another reason I really hope Scotland get to the Euros because I think John could really show at the top European level what a good player he is.
“Aaron Hughes had a huge impact on the way he lives his life and John will be as good as he can be.
“People talk about Scottish players not going abroad but I can see John in another country. He’s that kind of profile of centre-back.
“Dundee United turned down a bid from Roma when John was 17 and I can see why an Italian club would be interested in him — or a top Spanish club.
“Sometimes I think the next shop you go into needs to have a shop window that lets people walking past see what you’re good at.

JAMBOS FALLOUT Jon Daly slams Daniel Stendel as he breaks silence over Hearts departure
“Young players in Scotland don’t necessarily need to go to the Championship or the bottom of the English Premier League.
“Look at Andy Robertson.
“You’re not telling me he’d be as effective if he were playing for Stoke, because they’re on the back foot, you’re dealing with diagonal balls and there are always two strikers who are 6ft 3.
“Robertson gets judged on breaking beyond the right-back and crossing first time, and he’s world class at that. That’s his job.
“That’s my point about John. What’s the job?
“To go and deal with Wigan’s centre-forwards on a wet day in Stoke? Or to stand on the halfway line for Guardiola and pick a pass because you’ve got five players on the front line.
“All these players are good at different things but sometimes they just need the chance.”

Watch Liverpool captain, Jordan Henderson, practise with young fan before match away at Tottenham
And we're all enjoying reflecting on the fruits of McPhees knowledge and efforts down Gorgie way.
He's got time to sit back and spout guff like this that even the average Duncan has a chance of seeing through, as he's at home all day in his Budge tartan dressing gown and Gary Mackay slippers from the club shop playing blow football over the internet with his fellow sporting director(s).
Next week - why Harry Cochrane is the new Messi.

Austin McPhee 😂😂😂😂. What has he done in football? If I was a hearts fan I would want him punted.
Think these are old articles which the red tops have dusted down, rewritten and put out as new.
The more gullible of the Duncans were getting very annoyed about them on JKB thinking McPhee was being allowed to speak to the press.
In other Hearts news. Burton manager Nigel Clough stated after Saturday's match that Burton had turned down a bid for Liam Boyce which I suspect will be Hearts bid. They are desperate for a goalscoring striker so may be wlling to pay well over the odds for Boyce. It would be a big blow if they can't get him as I think he would be a good bet to fit in and score goals.
Jack Ross should get in there and make Boyce a pre contract offer. Could do a lot worse and would be a good start to our summer recruitment. Boyce, Doidge, Kamberi & Shaw as a strike force has a good balanced look to it. Only downside to Boyce is that he looks like a garden gnome
In terms of being a Hibs fan, this is a vintage Hearts season. From laying a £1m hybrid pitch and ruining it before the season has even begun with a concert, to “Craig’s sacked lol jk he’s now in the medical department for some reason” to “Hello friends and friends, Here’s your Daniel” to Berra and Whelan sounding off, or the greatest draw in history, there has been so much to enjoy.
Keep it up Jambos.
Just looking at Stendels stats, 1 season in charge at Hanover 96, sacked after a run of bad games and the new guy goes on a winning run to take them to 7th in Bundislèga 2, same happened at Barnsley and no wins in 5 at Hearts.
Tell me what everyone sees in this guy, is it just cause he's German.
The funny thing about all this is the Jambos are so obsessed with making Stendel work that they back and defend every decision he makes.
He is clearly a prick with his treatment of every player. How many people have come out an criticized him already. Surely there's going to be players still there who think the same. It's not going to work out but they'll be too proud to accept it until it's too late.
I saw a comment from one of them that said "Stendel will be the greatest Hearts manager of the last 10 years"...He's still to win a game!! Together with his time at Barnsley he hasn't won in his last 16 games!
They're still paying him so there must be big team type things that he can do whilst watching CBBC in his smoking jacket and slippers, before using the very latest fax machine to send his coaching tips and signing targets over to Levein when his shift starts and the Barnsley Barnstormer when the Diggers closes.

Basically a youngster has a few good games and gets hyped. Other clubs note the name and watch some footage of the player in action before deciding not to take their interest to the next stage of sending a scout.
The media then report that as the youngster being a target.
